What is the Civilization the funniest ?

Voted !

Civ 2 was my preferred Civ for long time but Civ 5 is very fun also...

Civ 4 spanked by Civ 5 for the "fun" factor

Civ 4 was long time the most complex but the fun was lost en route...

Happy civing, civfanatics players !

Erm funniest or most fun? Two very different things...

I never played CIV I or CIV 2. What is the Gandhi glitch?

Me too, but IIRC the Gandhi glitch is when he would pick democracy in civ 1, his likeliness to go to war would drop down 2. Other nations would also have the same effect if they picked democracy. But with Gandhi his likeliness was 1 in the start, making his new likeliness -1. Negative numbers don't go well with games, and Gandhi would become the offspring Attila, Shaka and Genghis. Since nukes were about at the same time as picking your government, Gandhi nuked the world. Since then, it's become the trademark of the Civilization series

The funny thing is Gandhi once said that if he had a nuke he would use it against the British.

I think Civ V is the best of the bunch (mostly because I think 1UPT is the best change they've done in any Civ), but I voted Civ I as "most fun", because I remember playing when I was, like, 9, and as a kid who love geography and history, this game pretty much blew my mind. Not very objective, but whatever.

I only tried Civ 5, so I can't tell wich is the funniest. However, it's now my absolute favorite videogame, and I wouldn't try civ 4, the graphics look a bit ugly.

I guessed civilization 1. Emperor difficulty used to be so easy to pass in civilization 1 and still is (not sure if I could still pull it off). When I came back to civilization 1, I was surprised to see all the other civilizations that were in the game along America. I couldn't believe there were other civilizations that were there and I didn't know about them.

Seriously, funniest or most fun? I'm confused.

I'd say civ V is the most fun. It has more replay value. UUs don't get lost in stacks which adds flavor. The UAs are much more interesting than the traits. The policies are slightly more interesting than the civics (slightly because I often adopt the same ones, Damn you rationalism!) Religion is more customizable and engaging. The trade system is unique and interesting. City States add a little extra variety.

The funniest one was three imo. It was the leaderheads that changed clothes depending on their eras that I thought was funny. Abe Lincoln in furs and Gilgamesh in a three piece suit. I liked Abe when he was mad, gesturing like some kind of angry cave man.

I never played CIV I or CIV 2. What is the Gandhi glitch?

His flavor for violence was a flat 1 out of 10. Adopting various types of governments would modify the base flavors of an AI though, and Gandhi would almost always take Democracy, which knocked it down by 2. This led to a -1 out of 10, which made no sense to the game, so it was interpreted as a 255 out of 10.

Gandhi killed a LOOOOT of people in Civ 1.
