The GLC v1.1 Update - Discussion Thread

@Bóreas
Search the Don Pedro II Carthaginians Units Pack in the Units forum, all his made units are there.

@CivBattle
The elephant unit is a Don Pedro II creation.
Thx for the Mod, and yes it's a shame the city view just disapeared in C3C :crazyeye:

Didn't utahjazz7 do the Libyan Warrior?

These are in the same pack of Don Pedro II
(Emphasis added, of course.)

Anyway, no biggie.

hes got so many
and i still need the lybian warrior by utahjazz7

LBPB I played a few times the mod and I liked IT very much (I like the ancient / medieval style). Are you planning to translate it to spanish ?? It would be great :)

you're right sorry
No worries!

Boreas, the Libyan warrior is here and the Numidian Horseman is here. Google searching the forums is quite handy, y'know (specially when the units in question are still on the first page of the units forum)! :D

sorry if i gave you any trouble Mithadan
but i only go into the units forum when there's an interesting first post...

Enjoy ;)

edit: 500 post !! :cool:

There are five issues I want to clarify:

1. Some units don't upgrade at all. For example Tribal Guardians upgrade to spearmen when I played as the hebrews, but since the Lacemedons don't have spearmen when I played as them my tribal guardians became useless. Same thing goes for warrior-> swordsman, but not warrior -> greek swordsman.

2. UU's do not start golden ages. The hebrew slinger doesn't start a golden age and neither does the spartan hoplite. I had to build wonders for this to happen. Why do this?

3. Some units aren't available to others when they should be. For example the camel riders are only available for nations such as babylon and parthia. Any nation with camels should be able to build these.

4. Finally I seem to be making more gold then it's tellin ,me. For example it says i'm lossing 150 gold when in fact I'm gaining 50. This allows me to unfairly raise my science up.

5. Finally you portray this game up through the Roman imperial days, yet it ends in the 300 bce. Rome didn't even begin to rise for another thousand years.Is there anyway so you could fix this. For example I got to the classical age in both games in the 400s as it should be, but I'm in the Imperial age before I know it in the 300s near the end of the game.

Hello LBPB !

About to kick in with your mod now, so I'd like to know a few things, since a PBEM takes so long to complete, and I wouldn't want it to be screwed in the middle. ;)

- I suppose that using it with C3C 1.22 works perfectly as intended, right ?

- Any idea when v1.1 is ready, or do I have to go with v1.0 ?

- Any major bug known that would screw the game ? Anything we must avoid ?

That's all for now, stay tuned !

In eternal egypt you said you were thinking of including the armenians because the hittites are usually too powerful

will you do it?

Yes they will be included (as well with other Civs like ), but not in the v1.1 update.

General Notes : Work has been delayed since kryszcztov (thanks man) offered his help to fix the Civilopedia and fill it in a way understandable for all player. I must agree that some things are so obvious in my head, are not an evidence for all player...
For exemple peoples ask regularily why didn't all the UU start the Golden Age. Well, firstly some Civs do have approx ~8 UU that's too much for letting all of them triggering a GA, secondly I try to keep the GA era as much accurate as possible so only units produced in the historicaly known GA for that Civ will have this flag checked.
