does the Great Wall still act as a city wall in each of your cities in Multiplayer Gold Edition? I clicked on the info for it and it just listed defense 2x vs barbs and the enemy must offer a treaty shiz

Built it yesterday in a normal game, and yes it gave me city walls in each of my cities.

I think the info in MGE is not accurate (for example, it doesn't state when the Oracle becomes obselete.)

After I build great wall, I'm still allowed to build City Walls though so I don't think so

when I build Pyramids it removed GRanary from my options, same with SETI/Research Lab

Because Pyramids never expire, nor does SETI. The Great Wall does expire and it's cool that you can have real walls in the important cities when it does

No, the Great Wall counts as walls in each city, but you can build real ones, so that when the GW expires you still have walls in that city.

dont think it would help much. i dont defend my cities. isnt that what diplomats are all about? to take them back when you lose them? militaries are violent and expensive. save them for the later game.

I defend most; the most likely to be attacked get a strong defender, the rest get weak one or dips & caravans, or in some cases, nothing. After Mobile Warfare, most get nothing.

The only sure way to stop AI dips from stealing tech is to kill them before they reach your cities. Putting your own dips and spies in your cities will make it harder for the AI, but it will not stop him.
