The greatest swordsman in Germany!

Greedy and opportunistic, Joan d'Arc of France attacks Germany in the Year of Our Lord 400 AD striking across the frontier with horsemen toward Salzburg and its furtile wine growing lands.

Germany, engaged in war already with India, and winning, is forced to give up its gains and redeploy its forces. While galleys of troops slowly return from India, a screen of horsemen are left to blunt the initial French onslaught with a lone swordsman.

Sensing Salzburg was the target, troops were aligned around it to spring a counter-attack on the invaders. French horsemen attacked the city, very nearly taking it. A regular swordsman held against four horsemen, becoming veteran, then elite. Then our horsemen closed the trap by attacking the French rear-guard, encircling them.

There were too many of them to hold back, and Salzburg fell.

Though gravely wounded, the swordsman attacked from a hilltop into the French at Salzburg and destroyed a unit three times its strength! A great leader was born in the fire of combat!

Barbarossa was quickly whisked away to Nuremberg, to hold council with the Chancellor, who was en-route from Berlin.

Bismarck, looking for an edge, contacted Russia and the Zulus, who for many years have suffered from French cruelty. They were both eager to side with Germany when approached about a military alliance. The Triple Entente was born, its sole pupose the defeat of France.

Having no illusions about the ability of its new allys to hurt the French in any real sense, Germany must now bring all its might to bear on Joan d'Arc and her minions.

Thus the Great Swordsmen will march, to Paris if need be.

Teutonic hordes invade France, and win the first battles. Two French spearmen destroyed.

Der Reich, my friends! Long live the swordsman!
Lets have a neverending party after the war for him!
[party]

Btw, will be there The Greatest Panzer Driver in Germany? :tank:

Barabarossa and his army accompanied by a host of (now elite) horsemen have destroyed four French cities, killed 9 spearmen, 3 archers, 3 warriors and captured 15 workers and a catapult! Four German horsemen have been lost.

The road to Paris is paved with French dead, and the German armies march on.

Just for fun, I plan to split the French empire in two and see if it does anything (like in civ2 MGE).

Anyone tried that yet?

I split them in THREE! One more road to pillage, and their empire will be completely cut off from East to West.

Paris is no more.

In a desperate attempt to save their capitol, France attacked all along the "corridor" scythed by German horsemen. Nearly every German and French unit was destroyed except for Barbarossa's Army and a catapult. It was a massive battle, and the area should be renamed dead horse valley or something.

Fortunately, newly formed units of German knights arrived to end the battle, and help Barbie crush Paris. The City of Lights was burned to the ground. Paris is no more.

The Great Swordsmen then marched to the North Sea and attacked the last city connecting France from East to West. After bombarding once, the army went in at 75% strength.

Perhaps to emphasize the dire situation for the French, they defended tenaciously. One swordsman was reduced to 1 hp. Then another. I began to think it was the end of Barbarossa! The last French spearman just would not die!

With 2 hit points left, finaly the great army smashed the town to splinters!

The French empire is still connected by a single road beneath the feet of Barbarossa. For now. After the knights pillage it, we shall see what happens.

Lots of civil disorder going on now in France. I cant wait to see some riots!

I just put that in my location because I like to play the Germans.

Now this is something new - giving actual place, but not the actual place of your location! I never saw that one before!:goodjob:

Oh well, back to SUPER SWORDSMAN!

I also like German Reich (not the Thousand Years Reich, but your (joe's) Six Thousand Years Reich). Well, actually I like Bismarck's Reich...;)
