I am going to post this idea that occurred to me in my current game.
I have been playing a new series of games I call "All girls together" based on an idea someone mentioned here about playing with only the female leaders. So, if you play enough games with Cleo, you know it is just a matter of time until she shows up on your land... in force. In this game, I am playing as Spain.
Firstly, to speed up the process. I removed most of my cavalry from the most likely attack points/cities so that she would be more tempted to try something. Sure enough, she sent in a bunch of cavs. I had lots of arty and tons of cavs so that I could take out her forces easily.
Couple of points first though. When Cleo signed France into an MPP, I also signed them up for an MPP. (I did the same with Russia but that is secondary). I also requested an ROP with France when the cavs showed up so that I could kill troops on French soil. (and eventually get through to Egyptian cities.)
With this dual MPP ( Spain <-> France <-> Egypt) in place, I would not be able to go and attack Egyptian cities as doing so would put France against me.
What I did was to kill all of her troops but one red-lined cav.
That one cav then attacked and died and my MPP's were put into force. Just thought I would mention this as a heads up to others. Just because we can kill a unit does not necessarily mean that we should kill a unit.
