The most gold you have ever gotten?

Good idea. Lets go. We can take my tank. :tank:

I think if you all were to find out even some of the things she went through to get that score, you'd be greatly discouraged at how many hundreds of hours it takes...

why get all that gold? If you were milking the game wouldn't it be beter to squeeze in a few points from future tech?

My highest was around 50,000 or less. Thats plenty for me.

I topped out at just over 120,000. Since you can't take it with you, I used my bank account to rush ICBMs in all of my cities and left the world a nuclear waste when I launched my space ship. It is quite fun to reach out and show your neighbours some love with 50+ warheads on the turn before you launch.

Interesting point. Her score could have been 51457 instead of 51455. If I had to guess (and I am) I'd say she was trying to outdo both SirPleb's previous HOF crown game score (52842) and his gold total (~3,000,000). She did both.

I guess once you're researching new tech at the maximum rate then there is nothing else to do but wait and stockpile money.

I doubt she went max research col. In the screenie she's researching one of the modern age techs and she still has 19 turns to go. looks like minimal science to me. I think superslug guessed right and she went for topping SirPleb's gold total...

In my HOF game on Chieftain I finished the game researching future tech 54. It was worth 11,3 points in my final score, which means 67,8 point on deity... and I finished that game with more than 1 million gold :D

Only 50? I remember one game I gathered together a force of about 140-175 ICBM's before launching 'em all off. I quickly found myself running low on 'em.

;)

I'm not sure right now its in the shop for repairs. Who would of thought it would of broken down after only driving through 5 houses and a school.

mmmmmmmmmmm, money maybe i should play on a difficulty that matters. What do you guys think?

I'm assuming the world was screwed after that with global warming.
