The music - it burns!

oh, i know how to rip it, what i like is how the game chooses the music for you, and sometimes i think it corresponds to what the game thinks you should do...so playing in winamp doesn't do that for me

Well, Winamp can randomize the order of the tracks (hit the "Shuffle" button), but it doesn't know what music fits the situation of your game. But I don't think that Civ2 does that either. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though, I haven't had Civ2 music on for years.

oh i am sure your right, it just seems sometimes when a civ declares war the mongol music comes on, or after a war, i go into an age of rebuilding....or if i am changing to a new govt the music becomes enlightened...

i am sure i have just played the game for too long hahaa

Hi folks! I'm new to civfanatics so i would like to know if there is a way of attaching the music to the game properly (i usually just play it in the background...) I like to play ride of the valkyrs (dum da da dum dum) or something like rock... its funny wathing your nuke go towards a french city....

If you know how to answer my question please please e-mail me at hyrule666@hotmail.com

I used to have this song by VNV Nation called "Honor". I'd play it when I dropped the first nuke, signaling the beginning of my global conquest(Which I did every game, I don't even know how to win the game in any other way lol :D )

I always have the music on. I enjoy hearing them over and over and I always shed a tear when the song comes on announcing the death of a civ. ;)

Although my mom isn't too fond of one of the songs. She calls it the "wah wah" song. :)
