Could I please have confirmation on my territory? I singed up for 7 or 8. But I saw that someone already claimed 8.

Thanx in advance

@Paalikles- you need to choose a title for your leader

the player has the option of being the NRI reminant forces- weak at the begining (youd start with less forces), but if you can build up some strength you should have few problems defending the territories (or conqouring new ones) or you can be one of the othe more northern and cednteral nation to try to build up a new empire (the older empires of the mainland, or most of them atleast, would have crumbled by now) and mabey even make the last push to drive the NRI republic off the mainland.

I am to understand that not all of our civilizations will be playable?

only in future up-close-and-personal map scenarios; this regional map will have every one who submits as a playable nation

Should we really take Aphex Twin's land away?

They have that whole region named after them.

BTW, I think I finished most things, and will get something up in a moment

I dont know...
on one hand, they aided our region by entering (what was then) the most heated debate our region has had (it still is really, none have topped it, yet)

but on the other hand, they cheated into winning the UN deligate vote. and was punished by the game mods because of it...

so my answer is- leave the area named in his honour, but move on, perhaps I'll even teligram him inviting him back- of course under the constraint of being being barred -forever- of achiving the UN deligate position, a fitting punishment for his crime (having multiple nations in the UN, and using these to cheat the Federal Empire out of the UN deligate position)

what do the nations think of such an action?

In other news, I need a volunteer to do a conversion to vanilla civ, to help convince you of the benifits, there will be a *special bonus* for you, I'll only tell you what that is when you volunteer however... but I think it will be obvious aty some point in the when playing the game... :D

@Xen - I did a few searches for Aphex to no avail... Are you sure his nations weren't deleted?

I'll talk to vanilla civ, if you want. I've been known to speak with an ambassador's tongue every now and then...

@Chitzenia- all of Aphix IIIs' nations were deleted due to neglect (a long story), and by doing a conversion to vanilla civ, I mean a non-PTW version of the map, and civs, not a new nation....

EDIT- well on your way to a custom title arnt ya lad, just keep postin, off topic threads, and history foum ones often generate quite a bit of post flow

See, I didn't get the innuendo there about the Civ map... You don't want me to attempt to make a non PTW Civ 3 map. It would be rather sucky.

NOT MAKE A NEW MAP, just convert the (existing) map to a vanilla civ file (I dont know how), and make all the nations vanilla civ ones (ie, sombody instead of getting hannibal, might get catharine)

and all the UU stuff, and other asorted tasks that aggrevate(and bore) me far to much then to do twice ;)

OK

I think I have all the info I need (except for GL)
I changed a few things.

History: The history of the Borderlands is a tale of two nations. On one side is the local natives, who called themselves the Borderlanders. The other are the immigrants, who called themselves the Epsilonians.

The Epsilonians lived in a nation called Epslon. When a dictator seized power, they fled frim the land on ships. One group, led by Erik the Great, sailed to the distant land of Civfanatica, and settled at the mouth of the Grape River. They named the city Epsilon. The site was chosen well and the Epsilonians prospered from the rich Fishing waters.

It is not known where the native tribes had come from. It is known that they lived in small settlements along the Grape River and in the Forests nearby. The largest of these settlements was Louisville.

As the influence of the newcommers increased, the Borderlanders began to worry. At the begining of the new growing season, they called for all tribes to prepare an army for asault. They attacked Epsilonia, but failed to win and were forced to retreat.

The Epsilonians fought back and the Great Conflict, which lasted 18 years, began. During this time, neither side could defeat the other. Finally, a young man, named Louis XXIV, ended the war and united the peoples.

Louis XXIV was born in the Louisville, the only son of chief Louis XXIII. The conflict began when he was 8 years old. His father, the chief of the city, was assasinated by his generals when he advocated peace. Louis was forced to flee the city to avoid the same fate. When he reached the age of 24, he reterned to Louisville to complete the mission of his father.

In less than two years, he convinced both sides of a truce. Louis went even further than that. He convinced them that the greatest threat was not each other, but the nations that surround them. The Epsilonians and the Borderlanders united to form the Borderlands of Borderland. Louis XXIV was elected the first president. He made sure that the new government, consisting of both former nations, worked together. He also made sure that none of the ministries grew too powerful. After two years as president, he served as Foreign Minister, where he negotiated the borders that still exist today
