The new information, summarized

There you go, all the juicy tidbits unveiled by Shirk's latest interview, compiled in a tidy per point list. Feel free to add or comment whatever you guys want! :)

- Hotels and airports are in and have a tourism bonus.
- Christianity has been split into Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodoxy.
- France and some other old civs would have changes to their UAs.
- There will be1 new resource, but it wont be revealed because it's linked to a new unannounced civ (the Sioux, most likely)
- Diplomat unit that works similar to spy, but for diplomacy rather than espionage
- Multiplayer: Observer Mode
- Multiplayer: Sequential Turn Mode, Hybrid (standard simultaneous multi outside of combat, sequential inside combat)
- Multiplayer: Pitboss added
- All of the above additions are coming to ALL editions of the game, not just Brave New World
- Nope, there won't be corporations
- Piety has new finishers in the shape of Reformation Beliefs, you can pick one if you finish the tree
- Diplomats give indicators of how civs are likely to vote in World Congress sessions
- Diplomats control the selling and buying of World Congress votes
- Happiness system remains mostly unchanged from Gods and Kings (balance work ongoing, obviously)
- City flopping is back due to tourism, but it can be avoided by changing ideologies towards the ones shared by the tourism-producing civ
- No other new scenarios other than Civil War and Scramble for Africa
- Scramble for Africa maintains the continent's outer shoreline, but the interior is heavily randomized
- Great Musician can go on a Concert Tour through other civs and create a large chunk of tourism
- Great Writer can create a Political Treatise, which grants a large chunk of culture
- France's new UA is "City of Light": Theme bonuses doubled in capital city (not sure if bonuses are vanilla Civ V or entirely new)
- New Tech in the shape of Internet (culture-flavoured)
- 30-40 Great Artist works, mentioned Great Musicians and Writers but not quantities of their works in the game
- More fine-tuning of AI civs (less backstabbery by genuine good friends, etc)
- Fall Balance Patch planned for the end of this year
- New natural wonders
- Portugal will be present. It will have a UI that allows them to catch CS's resources (feitoria?) and its UU, the Nao, will be able to "trade riches" (special kind of commerce action)
- The Zulu will be present too

Edit for new info:

- You will be able to send your caravan trough sea when you discover sailing, and send your caravans within a 45 hexes radius and double gold bonus.
- Pracinha generates golden age points with each victory twice as fast in ennemy territory.
- Portugal generates more gold on commercial routes, the "Nau" can sell exotic goods in foreign territory to generate gold. Their workers can build a "feitoria" near city states to "borrow" (?) a luxury ressource. Its leader will be Queen Maria
- Assyria have a special siege unit that gives a bonus for attacking cities to all the nearby units. Its unique building gives a science bonus proportionnal to the population.
- Shaka Zulu has a halved maintenance cost for melee units, and 25% exp bonus for all units. Impi replaces Pikemen, has a ranged attack before his melee attack.

Out of these are the things that catched my attention:

One of the things that I am looking fowards the most is the reworking of old UA in order to make the game a cohesive whole, such as the brand new French UA's. The reworking of other lackluster and / or historically unacurate UA's are bound to happen (yes India, I am looking at you).

The whole reworking of religion seems also quite good to me, as it seems that the Faith SP tree will stop sucking due to the addition of reformation (thanks God) and that it will be more integrated with other aspects of the game, breaking its "independent bucket" status by, for example, influencing heavily on tourism and getting spreaded trought trade routes

City flopping is seemingly back into action, and that it will be tied with ideologies too. Tourism, as "offensive culture" will be useful for city flopping, but it can be avoided by adopting the ideology of the tourism-producing civ. Sounds really cool, albeit tourism sounds more like influence than tourism per se.

Diplomatic victory also got a major overhaul, with the possibility of selling and buying votes at the world congress. This could open some really cool politics of "risk vs reward": if you are not pursuing a diplomatic victory you might be interested into selling your vote, but you do that at the expense of snatching a surprise diplomatic victory or passing a damaging resolution against your interests, it seems like a really cool mechanic to me.

The confirmed civs are for now: Assyria, Brazil, Portugal, Poland, the Zulu and (posssibly) the Sioux, 3 lots left in order to be completed. Come on Indonesia and Kmher!

So, what are you guys most excited for? Thoughts?
 
We know the Impis, Zulu's UA, and that there will be new civs to the franchise too, yet to be revealed
 
Actually city opinion flopping is in, if you listen carefully Denis says the people of your population will adapt to ideologies of other more dominant civs similar to religious pressure, it will be your choice as to how you respond to your populations demands.
 
France is seen constructing a UI on a screenshot of Portugal that looks indentical to the Chataeu seen on the poster.
Either 3rd UUs/UBs (Hopefully) OR France and probably other civs aswell are getting completely overhauled.

Regarding France, they confirmed that they were overhauling old civs as well. Wethever that will mean to add a third UU / UB or not, it is yet to be confirmed.

And it seems that:
Culture: Allows you to buy policies and defend yourself from culture flipping
Tourism: Allows you to flip enemy cities and win the Cultural victory
