Prague whips an Archer

In the west Alexs attack costs us an archer and chariot for two phalanxs and a spear

I stopped at this point for some discussion on wether it's worth going on. Lack of metals is going to kill us i think.

But if we go on, let's go Flanking to the max, let's see if we can soften up that elephant.

My vote is quit, still, as this is the point where I usually restart my single games. Let's check with the others.
 
i agree, i usually quit about this point as well but best wait for the others to make a final decision.

Not a lot of (visible) resources. I'd move the scout NE, NE. We have two unrevealed coasts to the east, so there's only 3 unrevealed land tiles in the staring location BFC. We could also move the scout NW, NE if we wanted to consider moving west a bit. Hopefully we've got some hidden metal around.

Ok, got it.. Will post some ideas later on, but feel free to give some on your own! ;) But as it seems there's no real other way than heading for BW, timing the second settler to finish the the same turn, and deciding where to build our second city afterwards.

Our scout survived another panther-attack, became WoodyI and needs two more turns to heal..

Our scout got eaten by the third panther but at least we finished Mining. 14 turns to go for BW.

Our settler finished. One turn too early.. But nonetheless I changed to a barrack as we'll need it sooner or later.

Our second scout survived a panther attack and finally we got to BW. For now I switched to masonry to enable GW ones again.. So I finished here for some discussions on city placement.

i'd vote for Cyan as well, at least we can get somew axes and chariots out.
