I am sick of the constant threads about whether hitler should, or should not, be included in future games of civ. The merits for both sides have been debated over and over yet still new threads are started on this topic. This is why i propose that anyone who feels the need to start another thread, or who has grown tired of the question, should simply vote yes or no in this poll and then let firaxis decide. Let the voting begin...

Yeah you are right. I think that some people from firaxis saw those threads about hitler already and they got the point, so please stop crying about this evil nazi over and over again .

I'm going with yes because when you think of a German leader, a lot of people are going to say that nazi Adolf Hitler. He also helped revolutionize mobile warfare with his Blitzkreig tactics.

They should make a patch/update/expansion that you can buy or download off of their site with all the brutal dictators and scenarios. So then its up to you if you wish to have them in or not.
The fact of the matter though, is many of the current leaders in civ have been just as brutal as Hitler. But over time people forget and it just doesn't bother them as much. In 100 years and if there was a Civ20 Hitler will surely be in the Vanilla with all of the other brutal dictators of today and yesterday.

Slightly off topic, but Heinz Guderian did more to develop Blitzkrieg tactics than almost anyone else in Germany. Hitler merely promoted their use, dragging the world into war.
Hitler as a statesman knew how to get Germany to do his bidding, but as a rule the less he interfered with German operational tactics, the better the German Army did in battle.

How about a new rule... Start a "Why isn't hitler in?" type thread and get banned. No exceptions. No excuses.
Not that I think sucha rule SHOULD be implemented but it is the only chance of stoping the brainless twits who feel that they must start a new thread on the subject every couple days.

If Firaxis should ever be mad enough to market a version of Civ where one can play as Hitler, I would, for the first time ever, refuse to buy it. I'd be as likely to buy a game called "Camp Auschwitz". Since there are undoubtedly a great many people who would react the same way, I find it highly unlikely that those who apparently would like to play as Hitler in Civ will ever have their wish fulfilled.
When someone trots out the hackneyed argument that Mao and Stalin are included, so why not H., that does not change my mind. Nor, I submit, does it change the mind of others who feel the same way about this.

I haven't voted. I don't care if he is put in or not. It's a freakin' game. Fix the UN, work on the modern ages so they arent so ******** and worthless, etc. Hitler is the least of my worries. But I do find it funny that people keep starting Hitler threads with "last", "Hitler", and "thread" in the title. What are we on now... like 20?
I think it is a little overboard to ban/boycott the game if he was put in but people are petty. It isn't like leaders of the world are only doing their duty in the hopes of an honorable mention in the game civ. I don't know, this whole topic is rubbish to me.
Get to modding.

Yeah i dont particularly care either, although i'd rather he wasnt because he didnt do enough to be thought of as one of germany's greatest ever leaders, but if he is he is, if he isnt he isnt, either way i'll stay play the game.
I was just hoping that people feeling the need to keep rambling on about the topic might just choose to cast a vote here so we dont keep getting new threads started all the time going over the same old ground.

If Stalin and Mao are in (those two killed a lot more of their own people than Hitler), Adolf sure can be in. Simple as that.
