Pondering Wearing A Hat
This was a story I made up one day when I was trying to think of a way to make civ 3 more interesting. It is not based off of a mod, so there will be no screenshots.
If someone wants to make this a mod feel free. I also do not mean to offend anyone.
2050: 16 major civs have risen to power across the world. Russia, Germany, China, Arabia, Japan, Korea, Spain, America, Netherlands, Italy(Rome), Greece, Portugal, France, India, England, and Egypt. All are cautious towards each other, and all are developing new technologies.
2051: Russia builds the first zerconium power plant, designed to give power to the whole nation. None of the other civs realize this and continue using nuclear power.
2053: A major catastrophe is barely averted as the core of the plant grows extremely hot and almost explodes, but the scientists there save the plant and world from destruction.
2054: Russia's leaders gather and decide to stop their usage of zerconium power. Ironically, the plant explodes just as they reach this decision.
The force of the blast instantly wipes out most of the world, and the continents and ocean's change. Almost everyone is killed, except for a few survivors from each nation.
2082: America's stragglers band together and form New Washington. All across the reformed globe, groups are rebuilding their nations.
(The rest of the story will be told from America's perspective.)
2132: A group of dissidents leave New Washington and go off to find their own way. They settle down northwest of New Washington. A dispute is raised whether to call their town New York or New New York. Later, the two cities join to gether again.
2133: New York is decided upon as the new town's name. A descendant of Abraham Lincoln rises to power.
2135: Lincoln's descendant(now called Lincoln) is given a new pill from a drugstore for his arthritis. Fortunately, this pill was manufactured wrong and gives him eternal life.
2182: The first spear is manufactured. A parade is formed and "We love the President Day" is celebrated.
2205: The ancient holiday of Thanksgiving is revived.
2216: A party of scouts sent out at the beginning of time meets the German stragglers to the northwest. They also meet the Chinese to the northeast and Russia to the south.
2217- 2645: Much expansion is made every direction. The Americans meet the Spanish folk, and through them, the Japanese, Greek, and Koreans.
2646: The people are clamoring for more expansion, even though their nation is huge. President Lincoln realizes their is nowhere else to expand, unless they attacked a neighbor. He appeases them with the promise of war in the future, but not now.
2652: The discovery of chivalry leads to the building of the knights' templar, leading to a mass army of crusaders. This discovery coincides with the realization that Russia is technologically challenged. Plans begin to be made.
2657: Just as war is the furthest thing form Lincoln's mind, another discovery changes this. The realization that Russia was the country that caused the catastrophe to happen over 600 years ago gives the Linocoln the ability to broad cast this to his known world. Russia is hated and no one trades with them. As a result, Lincoln meets more civs eager to build friendships with him.
2660: War begins. After a Russian galley stayed in American waters too long, Lincoln tells the world that it is time to rid the world of the people who got us here in the first place. 4,000 crusaders attack Rostov, a Russian city to the north, and it is soon under their control. Northern expansion is made more possible with this victory.
