1) Load Game
2) Play for a couple hours
3) Get an error in game "The Server has Broken your Connection"
4) Realize you just wasted 2 1/2 hours and the bugs still exist in this game months after release and that you will never purchase a firaxis, take two, or Sid Meier product again.

This is a NEWER bug, only starting to happen to LOTS of people in the past 3-5 days. It has happened to me 6 times this weekend, and happened to others in the games I was in at least 8 times total over the weekend (each time to different people.)

When are these bugs going to be fixed? When are the peer issues going to be FIXED? Not explained with BS, not helped, but 100% fixed so the game works as advertised?

If it's come out between the patch and the game then it is Gamespy's fault. It is a mystery to everybody why gamespy is so bad.

I've been experiencing this bug off and on ever since patch 1.61 was released.

I won't see it for about a month, and then one day I'll get kicked from 3 or 4 games with "The Server has Broken Your Connection" error message. I'm not disconnected from the internet at all during this time, as I am usually talking to friends on TeamSpeak while I play and that doesn't go down. The games aren't lagging or anything goofy like that. I can log right back into the GameSpy lobby and jump right back into my games no problem ... just weird and frustrating to get the random disconnect message.

If this has starting happening only in the last week then it isn't an issue with the game itself, it's a problem with Gamespy. Ranting and complaining at Firaxis or Take Two isn't going to do any good, since I don't think there's anything they can do short of switching away from Gamespy altogether, which seems unlikely to happen. Similarly with the peer issues, this problem seems to be to do with the players' firewalls, not the game itself. Firaxis can't "fix" these peer issues because the problems with either your firewall, or the firewall of someone you're playing against, not the game.

Ah gamespy, proof if proof were needed that monkeys simply cannot program computers.
