CHAPTER 7:
With America controlling England and her bountiful yields of resources, Mike III shifted to gaining control of them. But before he put the operations under way, America recieved world condemnation for his actions against England. His closest ally, Montezuma, even denounced Mike. Mike III was going to make the world pay.
To further revamp his military ambitions, he heard a story of a civilization named Babylon. They were attacked by a superpower. Of course, superpowers shouldnt use their powers to menace other people unless attacked or there is nothing to lose. Babylon was attacked for no reason, and was fighting for their life. There were not more details than that at the moment. (Reference to my game as babylon) Mike III shared this story with the public. They were already happy with him, but now, the whole nation rallied behind him. They would work the massive factories to help build the vital war machine. The resources in the arctic would soon be exploited to great effect. Nuclear deterrance was put into place to check Montezuma.
In the meantime, a new enemy emerged and needed to be wiped out. The Iriquois were hostle. In time, war would be declared. There would be no negotiations. If the world wanted to play dirty, so be it. Everyone was consumed in war anyway. Most were fascist as well, guaranteeing they would die due to their hatred of Jewish people, blacks, and other races. They believed only in their culture's supremacy. The Nazi party in America was quickly killed off in America when the war began.
America was communist. But unlike many other communist leaders, like Mao Zedong, or Joseph Stalin, Mike III was good. He invested in education, production, and the economy. He didn't work people to death in dirty and unsafe factories. He made them clean and safe, gave a good wage of 70,000$ per year due to the great economy, and were fed well and worked 16.5 hours a day. The workers had no reason to complain, and were satisfied. If injury did occur, the medical bill was payed, and was allowed to stay home until they recovered. That is why production is so high and America out produces everybody in everything. One could kill 1000 modern armors. At the month's end, 3000 would be in the field. Quality was also mass produced. The worst the americans saw in numbers were artillery, mechanized infantry, and tanks, and rarely modern armor. Robots were almost never there, since America had most of the known uranium.
On to the war with the Iriqois. An American army moved forward. Intel spotted a massive army further into Hiawatha's territory. They were industrial era units. Some nukes blew up guided missiles and planes, as well as many army units. Buffalo creek was nuked to the ground. Another city lay in the way. When Mecca finished it's required training program for military units (barracks, Armories, Military academies) the city could then mass produce modern armor and nukes to supply the front. A city needed to be captured to provide a healing area. The capital was also close. A massive nuclear strike would kill anyone in the way if neccecary. The captured city would provide a F.O.B for nukes and Jets. B2 Stealth Bombers will be flown in to provide support.
This would never happen for a long time, though. In fact, even though the Iriqois army downsized to the third largest and America the second, the war became over extended. While Mike ordered a nuking of a specific city, the Aztecs had units there. America would pay the price for not knowing, as it had in the past. Mike III now had to deal with 2 world military powers. This would be another brutal test for Mike III. Even after massive nuclear strikes deep in Aztec territory, the Aztecs were resurgent. Many of them died, but enough soldiers were on hand to put up a stubborn defense.
More crises occured. The budget was almost spent. Though income was high, America at the moment could not afford the nuclear strikes on demand life style that won them so many wars. Though Modern Armor and GDRs could be mass produced, lots of the soldiers would die without massive adaquate support. The stealth bombers did help out. Jets also played a fair role in the war. But until the American treasury built up to pay for the massive costs required to fully pummel the enemy, every inch of ground would be a bloody fight ro the death. And the threat of defeat would be real. America had lost some battles in the past when they were still menaced by stronger neighbors and fighting to survive. Mass production and quick exploitation of resources helped them win wars. To prevent another Battle of Washington, America fielded a large army and put forward the policy of nuclear deterrence.
On the Aztec front, American armored armies rolled forward, with some robots. To the North, after a long and bloody fight, 3 cities fell. But happiness became a problem. But when a new policy went up, this would change. For now, they had to wait. Further south, a city fell, but heavily mauled the soldiers. The remaining Aztecs either retreated to new defensive lines ir were mopped up and killed. Some took to the seas to escape. Enemy armor was quickly brushed aside. However, a new enemy emerged. Robots menaced the southern front for the tanks trying to take Shanghai. Ghuanzhou made soldiers to combat this. To accuire new resources to fuel the war machine, settlers in London were being built to combat the Aluminum shortages. Until then, aluminum dropped in supply, while demand went up for all 3 fronts. On the Iriqois front further north, they ran into big trouble. The nuclear strikes didn't kill all of the enemy forces. The artillery still could do a little damage, and punished the Americans for not being able to destroy them.
Luckily, a well placed nuke blew up the majority of the Aztec's airforce, so it eased up the job for American pilots. It wasn't enough. With massive concentration on the Aztec front, there was little to spare for the Iriqois front. To help, a brigade of American modern armor went forward. Robots were also sent in. The enemy capital needed to fall so the Americans could have a vital supply line for the troops to heal. The capture would also mean a jumping point for future operations into Iriquois territory, and it would weigh 1,000 political grams (meaning it would play a role in any peace settlements.).
On the southern Aztec front, thibgs were grim as well. The Americans had to call upon all their industrial power to keep the pressure on the Aztecs. On top of this, the stealth bombers needed to heal. They were suffering heavy damage on their attacks on cities and soldiers alike. American air support would be unavailable until then. But their place would soon be taken by the 620 million dollar (gold) weapon that won them so many wars. The treasury was recovering. Nukes still needed to be made slowly without paying workers to hurry it up, but these weapons would soon be available. Reinforcements would also come. Most were almost done being fixed. When they were, a new massive counter attack would go on a the southern front and sieze multiple cities. Land would also be settled to fill the resource gap and fuel the war machine. Until then, the war would finish it's fourth, bloody, year.
