I, hereby declare that the following smiley shall be added to Civfanatics.
Look at the amazing detail as his eyes sway back and forth, conveying a sense of "Uh..yeah..." without stopping to show such dedication. The shifty smiley is an achivement to all of the smiley population. From the early dawn of smileys to the present, the shifty smiley has lived with us in peace and harmony...today is a history of it...
In 1996, Shifty I, a resident of Smiley, wanted to make the smileys known on the Internets. He gathered up his digital food and belongings and set out on a journey to the deepest ends of the Internet in search of a new home to spread his word of smiley goodness. He eventually arrived in The Republic of Shifty Land that was under attack from The Republic of Trusty Land. He was saddend by the death and destruction that Trusty Land soldiers put upon the citizens of Shifty Land. He approached King Trustsworth XIV and said this to him...
"Why? Why do you do this? Why do you kill millions of innocent smileys? They did nothing to you! Yet you opress and murder them like animals! You have no shame! Shifty Land has many great people who can affect the world! Yet..you...you...YOU..."
He then proceeded to cry. Suddenly, Trustsworth XIV said "Ah..if I do this you will not attack us..yes?"
He said "Indeed..I will..not.."
And made a face that changed mankind forever...
He was put upon the throne of Shifty Land as there new leader after the death of King Sheete II..and it began...
He trained thousands of shifty smileys to fight back against Trustsworth XIV...
...And it happend...
"WE FIGHT! FOR HONOR! FOR JUSTICE! FOR.....FREEEEDOOMM!!!!!!"
Shifty I charged with over 100,000 other shiftys to The Republic of Trusty Land and completely destroyed the entire town. Trustsworth XIV's last words were "How..how did you betray me!? I can sense lies instantly!"
Shifty I replied by saying "BEWARE OF THE SHIFTY! THEY ARE THE GREATEST LIARS OF ALL TIME! TELL THIS TO ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE AFTERLIFE! FOR YE WILL NOW VISIT IT!!!!!!!!!"
He struck his digital sword in Trustsworth XIV's heart. And that was the end...
Shifty I lived on untill 2001 when he died of a heart attack in his digital bed. His son, Shifty II (B. 1997) now leads The Republic of Shiftyland as the 6th leader.
And thus, this is why I want this smiley on this forum. That and because I was bored.
