Of course, hiding in the shadowy, dense trees and making the attackers disappear silently one by one to a fate worse than death, driving the few survivors mad with paranoia and fear, is an even more Evil Elf maneuver.

especially if they can get the forest to move like Tom Bombadill so no one can leave and they just keep going in circles.....ok so you could do that with other means of re-direction too.......moving forests are still fun....at least to the victims perception.
