Ten Commandments of Civ
  1. You shall have no other games before Civ.
  2. You shall not make a carved image in the likeness of Civ.
  3. You shall not take the name of Sid Meier in vain.
  4. Remember your trade reputation and keep it clean.
  5. Honor your trade agreements.
  6. You shall not build regular units after your first barracks.
  7. You shall not waste worker turns early in the game.
  8. You shall not build Great Wonders/city improvements just because you can.
  9. You shall not expect the AI to always be stupid.
  10. You shall not covet your neighbor's luxuries or strategic resources; you shall conquer them and make them yours.

Spoiler :

Backstory: In Rat45 CCM - Gideon's Band, a CCM Mod by Civanator, we were playing as Israel. ThERat made a comment, it sparked something in my brain, which prompted a reply, and led into this.

Spot on

People who break those commandments beware...the wrath of Sid will be upon you.

Would look very nice mounted on our castle walls or in the throne room. All can gaze upon this brilliance and take notes of which we break in what order. :smug:

J/K good rules :)

I already broke rule n°1... At the moment I have no civ game installed - I'm going rogue with SMAC

And rule n° 6 is just BS... What should the Byzantines, the Dutch or the Russians do in the mean time, huh?

SMAC is a solid game - you should have no shame for playing it :goodjob:

What should the Byzantines/Dutch/Russians do? Build barracks once they have the tech, of course!

Hmm, the only ones that I do not break on a regular basis are 2 and 6. I tend to avoid at all costs any trade agreements, and as I make the map, resources are never a problem. Barracks are always the first thing that I build, and the same for harbors for naval craft. Then again, I have always been somewhat of a heretic when it comes to the standard way of playing the game.

That's so funny. Let's hang it in the courthouse for all to see!

i always break number 4... haters gone hate and warmongers gonna warmonger

That's my favorite one and I think I've cussed at him a few times for not making it easier for us to mod!
