The Three Kingdoms; Reloaded

Yes I know she didnt. I HAVE read the book!
I just think she is great is all. Need a token kick butt female warrior that isnt Madam Zhu Rong...

And if you had bothered to read my post properly you would have seen the words "off the top of my head" - meaning i didnt go look at the book to find them.
And my location is SCOTLAND UK. We dont have the TV show here. :crazyeye:

Now if you kindly refrain from flaming me in future post contributions especially ones that I make at half past midnight I would be very pleased...

firstly, i didn't say or even imply that you hadn't read the book, i was merely contributing to your post and secondly i did not 'flame' you.

Kingdom of Shu-Han

The Kingdom of Shu-Han should have a unique unit which has increased movement and perhaps defense in mountainouse and hilly regions.

After all Shu is situated in the mountainous west of China.

Kingdoms of Wei and Wu

I agree with Wei being cavalry specialists. Perhaps a horse unique unit which has greater movement in plains? Also increased attack but crap defense...after all Wei wasnt strong on defense, the Northern Campaigns of Kongming caught them largely off guard and they lost the Western Capital of Chang An.
good idea for shu...

horses will be defenseless transports that can be captured and utilised by any race

@varwnos
city graphics, probably best for city/metro
hope this is enough for you to make a start...

i thought we already had the building graphics. remember the chinese buildings thing from the song dynasty? or do we want one specifically designed for TTK?

Perhaps we should focus on one tab at a time to organise things a bit more. Starting with the most trivial things first or the most important things? If you have any other ideas please post.

maps and graphics first
then general tab
than civs
then units
then techs
then whatever...

i just had a thought...
instead of governments, why not have titles
default is Governor and works your way through general and primeminister to emperor
each government or title gets progressively better, but may have small disadvantages over previous ones

for instance emporer means u get production bonus as well as unit support, however war weariness is significantly higher then if u were a prime minister or general

Well i have made these two atm. You like? The small one can be left without the palace, but i dont think that any other changes can be made.
hmm
small one with no palace but small biuldings would be good
the big one is great...
is it possible to keep roof colour consistant (orange rather than blue)

Yeh I think that would be a good idea...
What about having Shu, Wu, and Wei different culture groups? Ya know like Europe, Mid Eastern, Far eastern... Where "Wu" cities would have red roofs, "Wei" cities have blue roofs, and "Shu" cities have green roofs?
Maybe a "neutral" group with grey or orange roofs as well?

For earlier scenarios we could roughly divide the Lords between the three (or 4 if we include neutral for Dong Zhuo/Li Jue) groups based on what region they are in from sbennets city map.

Hm, i adapted it to civ colours, and changed the roof of the palace to orange, also i made a smaller palace for city size #1

edit: now the city size #1 also has a small building with a dark roof, and the palace has two floors. (the palaces were made from the rottk pic)

Nice to see some of my stuff in there. At least I know that they're actually being used. :p My graphics were all 24-bit BMPs, so they might lose a bit of their color when you convert them to PCXs.
