The Unification of Russia - A EU2 AAR

Hmmm what other mods are worth a download? I gave up playing EU2 a long time ago, but I may start again if the mods are good.

AGCEEP is definately the best. It beats the vanilla version hands down. It not only beats it, it completely crushes it and never looks back. New nations, a huge amount of new events, it's simply far more "complete" than EU2, even at patch 1.08, ever was.

Can you tell me more about if, for example where to get it and what exactly does it add?

Yeah, late response, sorry!

You can download it here

And it adds what I said in my previous post. It lets you play vanilla EU2 too, even when installed, so there's no reason at all not to try it. :)

I got a Muscowy game myself..

Id to these lengthy explanations myself but I simply fight too many freaking wars to remember all of them and their details (My French game has a grand total of nearly 9,000,000 total losses, but I occupy all of europe)

That would have been better advertised at CFC's official EU2 thread, you AAR looks nice btw. :)

Thanks for the compliment. :)

Do some of you guys frequent the Paradox forums, btw? I'm Suvorov over there.

Oh, and about the EU2-thread: that one is largely dead and this one, also with EU2 fanboys, is alive and kicking. So, I decide to spend my PR $ here! :D

With each bump it has it is revived for a few days, it will never be truly dead. ;)

I've read many good AAR's in there from EU2, Crusader Kings and HOI 2. Though i've never registered there.

I like to think that I help keep the thread alive by keeping the link in my sig.

Infinite wars... Basically as Poland I made a really stupid decision to annex Wallachia that would trigger a mass amount of wars and would later repeat the mistake by chosing to go to war with Bohemia (The Hussites won) who were a regional power but would then be carved up soon after. The war against Kazan was like a war against Byzantium; I took the core gold province and stopped Russian expansion into the east. Lithuania were recently annexed through the event, the negative is being put into the Othodox tech group so I assume I will no longer be able to keep my tech lead.

The reason I am really posting this screenshot is because the Ottoman empire is extremely powerful with an empire that is close to taking over all of Persia and has recently won three provinces off Russia to the south of Samara. I think this is because throughout the game I have only had one short defensive war against the Ottomans that had no significant impact whilst Hungary and Austria have generally been week with Hungary disappearing at one point and Austria nearly being annexed by Hungary until I joined their side.

I don't like the Prussia indepence events as keeping Prussia has cost me quite a lot of bad boy points because of those events.

Brandenberg:

Seems to be a very easy nation to play as in AGREEP although I was helped along nicely by Denmark who brought me into several wars against Burgandy and diplomatically annexing Palinate, Cologne and Lorraine who all had 3 provinces each helped alot. Switzerland had 4 provinces when I diplo annexed them. The annoying thing lately was that I had a 100% war score against France and yet it took about 8 years to finally accept a peace treaty that gave me 5 provinces. A bit strange considering that I wasn't trying to capture a particularily valuable province like Flandern with the trade centre.

Do you play with rebellions off? ;)

Rebellions have been on for that game since rebellions are that bad usually when your empire is connected and I have military access with England so Scotland isn't a problem. It does get a bit annoying at this size though since three rebellions of 20000 can occur together and then thats 5 years taken up to finally crush them all and the occasional rebellion that occurs.

In an England game I had to turn off rebellions as I would be spending more time putting down rebellions than anything else. In that game I had annexed all the area around Timbucktu to the Ivory Coast and including Mali, most of Delhi and Hydrabad, Australia, East coast of America reaching to the former Aztec empire, a couple of islands and the Indonesian gold province. Oh and of course we owned the UK, France, northern Italy and most of Holland.

Until very recently the war score was still 20/60 but now its about 40 after agressive wars against Austria and Bavaria who are both vassals of Spain and Transylvania (Formerly Hungary). The US formed from English possessions whilst we have pushed back the French Canadians from originally around Fox. About three more wars against France, about 5 against Poland through alliances, a couple against Austria and a war against Venice to get Munster and Caux.
