WELCOME TO THE WAR. All things here are written as Wikipedia articles. This isn't just one war, there are A LOT of them written here.

War in Japan

The American Civilization has risen to become the worlds leading Superpower, with Spain close behind. Diplomatic relations with the Japanese Empire and the Spanish Empire have taken a downturn in the last 100 years and the Japanese have imposed a trading embargo on the United States. After negotiations fail, and the Japanese refuse any talks at all, The United States sends an army. The 'Delhi' Pact between the US and India comes into effect and both Civ's lead the Invasion of Japan.
Battle & Neutralities
Russia and England quickly become neutral, but Spain is stuck as to whether to attack the superpower and help out the Japanese or go neutral as well. Finally they reach a decision and decide to go neutral. Japan ends it's peace treaty with Spain and imposes a trade embargo on Spain. Russia and England follow suit with America and no trading between Spain and those two nations happens. Japan attempts to have a permanent alliance with France, but France announces it's neutrality. The first offensives in the invasion are met with light resistance, only pockets of the Japanese army. India takes the Western Japanese front line and the US takes the north and east. Navy patrols are set in the seas around Japan as they notice several Japanese boats in the waters.

Battle of Kyoto
The Indian army on the Western Japan Front are met with heavy resistance coming in to take the city of Osaka. Japanese armies split the Indian army and the surviving members are sent to the Eastern front to help the American armies. Meanwhile, the Americans are getting ready to take the city of Kyoto, and settlers have built San Francisco, an overseas territory that will act as a navy patrol port. Many troops converge on Kyoto with no luck. After several more Japanese troops are sent to try to break up and demolish the armies, but are rundown, the Americans and the Indians start taking small bits of territory from the Japanese and effectively capture the city of Kagoshima.

The War Spreads
Angered by the English, Russian, French and Spanish reaction to the war, Japan decides to spread the war to other continents.
Japanese Bombing of England
The navy bombing happens and effectively Japan is at war with England. England has a very strong military and several Ironclads are sent to attack the Japanese ships, two are destroyed, but all four Japanese boats are destroyed. Japan attempts another peace talk with England with no such luck. America establishes an Embassy in England and suggest a permanent peace treaty, and, at the expense of 200 gold, England fully declares war against Japan and the 'Newcastle' pact is signed.

Battle of Kyoto (cont)
The war for Kyoto has almost completely been abandoned by the Japanese at this time. Japan, seeking military help, repeatedly asks Spain for intervention on their side. No luck. The United States and India begin Operation Simultaneous Lightning to take Kyoto once and for all. Indian forces destroy Japanese reinforcements and I can see Spain getting worried a little. Japan was a major Trading partner with Spain and If I destroy Japan, Spain will lose a major source of Income. I think now they're hoping for a sneak attack by me on them so they can find a reason to invade -- but then again they don't want to so they can have peace, trading, funding, blah blah blah.
Operation Simultaneous Lightning was a failure. I didn't realise how heavily defended Kyoto was. I'm going to build up a lot more troops and hope to god Kyoto will finally fall.

England invades

With Codename "Operation Urgent Fury" (see where I got that from? If you don't, click on the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Urgent_Fury)
Oh they invaded alright... at the wrong country. Spain and England had had some sort of an internal 'cold war' like conflict... although no actual military conflict was involved. They had been competing for ages whether it be military size, weapons, tech, etc. Spain had a small city "Grenada" (hence the Operation Urgent Fury name) on a leg of territory, albeit, isolated from the rest of Spain. England sent a massive amount of Navy and Ground Force to attack Grenada. Within two turns, Grenada had fallen, and the world was in shock. This meant, because of my alliance, I was at war with Spain. Something I didn't want. Russia and France remain neutral.

Russia tries peace talks

Kyoto has fallen into my hands. At the expense of several military units, Kyoto is down. Japan is starting to get a little worried. They're troops are heavily fortified outside Nagasaki and Hiroshima and several other cities remain on the western front where India failed me. Russia has intervened diplomatically. They made it sound like they were on Japanese side, because they said 'word of the ill-treatment of the Japanese has preceded you. Should you think to do the same to us...' etc. But I'm not worrying. I'm at peace with Russia, Allied with England, At war with Japan, unofficially at war with Spain (I donot plan to make any moves against Spain, until they attack me first.) and at Peace with France. France seems interested in Trading with me a lot. I've beefed up my Navy patrols in the sea as I've noticed, yet again, more Japanese ships in my sea area.

France becomes involved

I did not expect the Japanese to attack France. France had had nothing to do with this war and I didn't want them too. They would have provided mainly soft power, as they populated South America. I tried to stop the boat but it destroyed mine and went on to declare war against France by bombing Paris. France, In anger, sent boats filled with troops and Ironclads to invade Japan. Naturally I was angry at Japan, and America and Spain signed an alliance. England meanwhile was starting the Spain Campaign.

War comes to a close

The war in Japan has come to a close. After intensified fighting between Japanese and French forces near the Nagasaki City border, French forces withdrew and announced it's withdrawal totally from the Japanese War. England soon announced it would intensify the amount of troops in the Japanese War and began the Nagasaki Offensive to take the city of Nagasaki but soon announced it's near-total withdrawal of Japan to assist with the War in Spain (see post above). I beefed up the amount of troops the US had. Soon the Japanese army were defeated at the Nagasaki City and I launched the invasion of Nagasaki. Soon, the Japanese emperor surrendered and eventually I let the Japanese retake control of their cities and few troops were left as a peace-keeping precaution and slowly the naval and air patrols were released and peace restored in the Japanese area. Although France and England's relations with the Japanese had gone downhill severely, no war was happening with the exception of the ongoing England-Spain war.

The War in Spain

The US had offered money instead of Military troops in Spain and England accepted. Eventually the English army was driven back to Grenada after losing a major clash and Spain invaded Grenada and retook it. England was pushed out and eventually the war ended and peace was signed.

A surprise turn

Several years after the major Japanese War, Russia's nuclear capabilities took a turn for the worst when Spain had allegedly produced several Nuclear Bombs. These were proved true when one was launched at Moscow, but it was destroyed, and then the following Russian-led Invasion of Spain
happened and it was total war. Spain had not developed SDI technology and Russia launched cruise missiles at military strongholds including the now-tough Grenada, Salamanca, Seville and Madrid. The contingents involved in the Invasion of Spain include:

England
France
United States
India (financial support)
Japan (financial support)

I'm going to write this like a Wikipedia Article.
Second War in Spain
The second war in Spain is a conflict ongoing in Spain that started with the Russian Invasion.

Background
Tensions Rise
Spain and Russia had had generally cordial relations, with no fighting between the two nations at the time of the major Japanese War. Spanish - Russian trading at the time and prior to the Japanese War was a 'happy' trade situation with Russian trade producing 13 percent of the GNI of Spain and Spanish trading representing 11 percent of the GNI of Russia. Spain had been working on the 'Manhattan Project' (which had been completed in NY by the USA the previous year) and stated that the missiles were a defense precaution against any possible military threat in the future. Russia remained trading with Spain and imposed no embargoes or sanctions on the country but began building cruise missiles and completed the SDI technology it needed to defend itself against a missile attack.

Spain's Nuclear Capabilities
Spain and WMD's were usually not linked as extremely powerful but trading of Missiles between Japan and itself were tightening. The US sent diplomats to figure out what and why Spain would need such weapons. Japan did not know that the weapons would be used in an attack.

Attack on Russia
On the morning of April 12, with no pretext, a nuclear missile was launched at Russia, coming out of Madrid. Russia's just-developed SDI technology was able to destroy it mid-flight. Trading, Travel and Diplomatic embargoes were imposed on Spain that morning and by the afternoon a major international-coalition force was assembled just out of Kiev, with Russia leading.

Invasion of Spain
Military Support
England, under the Moscow pact, happily obliged military support and approximately 12 battalions of soldiers were delivered to Russia. The United States, under UN allowance and under the St. Petersburg pact, sent approx 23 battalions to Russia to help with the Invasion of Spain. France, eager to build a strong relationship with Russia, sent four battalions. India, not allied with Russia, sends financial support. India gives the reason for not sending military help as that it needs all the military it can get to help restore order in three of it's cities. Japan sends financial support as it's Military has suffered huge numbers of losses during the Japanese War.

Preparations for the Invasion of Spain
Troops were moved into position at approx 1:45 that afternoon. American troops take the North attack, England takes West, Russia takes east, and the French troops support the American and England troops.

Spanish build-up
Spain had a meager 14 battalions but all troops were veteran. Most Coalition troops were as well. They took North and East. West was heavily defended by armor and aerial contingents from Seville.

Invasion
The Invasion began at approx 3:02 that afternoon with Russian troops crossing the border and Russian planes bombing targets just out of Madrid. America soon followed and so did England. English troops were involved in a major skirmish just out of Seville. They won. American troops were ambushed by Spanish armor near Salamanca but defended themselves and won. Russia took huge losses in a firefight near Madrid. By 7:00 Spanish forces had been overrun and three major cities were surrounded: Seville, Salamanca and Madrid.

Russian SCUD Cruise Missile attack
At 8:00 Russia launched four SCUD missile attacks against four Spanish strongholds: Seville, Salamanca, Madrid and Grenada. Spain losses were extremely heavy following these attacks as they had not acquired SDI defense technology. American and French troops were ordered to advance toward Grenada and stop the production of Armor and Planes from that destination or else the English troops would not be able to advance into Seville.

I will keep you updated

NOTE: I ADD RANDOM DATES (i.e. July 12) IN THIS but things like AD2020 are right.

Second war in Spain
The Second war in Spain is an ongoing international conflict involving the majority of the worlds nations. The war began on AD 2020 when Spain launched Nuclear Warheads at Russia.

Operation Desert Swarm
Operation Desert Swarm is a military operation that began July 12 AD2020 in response to a Spanish attack on English forces. Desert Swarm's objectives were to capture Grenada, a stronghold producing much military power for Spain. Forces coming out of Grenada pinned down English forces who needed to advance into Seville. American forces and French forces attacked Grenada with much power and eventually Grenada was overrun and captured.

War Comes to a Close
Spain signs the Instrument of surrender
(although you can't actually sign an instrument of surrender... the hell with it.)
On the morning August 23rd, after losing significant amounts of troops at Grenada and Seville, Spain unconditionally surrendered and apologized to Russia. No reason for the nuclear attacks has been given.

Repercussions
Repercussions following the Russo-Spanish war were significant. Trading almost completely stopped for 90 years following the war. Small amounts of trading gradually resumed.

War in the Nerasus
The War in the Nerasus, sometimes referred to as the Nerasus War, The Occupation of the Nerasus, or the Nerasus War of Independence refers to the war concerning the future of a small area surrounding Minsk, Russia: "The Nerasus".

Beginnings
The War began on 17 August 2032. On 14 August Russia exclaimed it would no longer be producing oil from the Nerasus. Small amounts of Military from Russia were sent into the area to protect it from Oil Raids. On 15 August, India proclaimed it's madness at Russia when it exclaimed half the countries oil came from several locations in the Nerasus. India pleaded with Russia to continue trading. Russia refused, saying that money and labor-workforce was to costly and ineffective to continue producing oil. Hostilities reached a peaking point on 17 August when India sent 100 troops into the area.

The name "Nerasus War of Independence"
On 16 August, militants (actually barbarians) in the Nerasus started attacking Russian forces in the area, wanting Independence. (You can't do that but who cares.) Russia sent 40 peacekeeping troops and now few militants remain.

International reaction
International reaction to the war in the Nerasus has been completely on the Russians side. The United States was among the first to declare neutrality in the conflict, however also stating it's support for the Russians.

Timeline to the War in the Nerasus
Main Article: Timeline of the War in the Nerasus (don't try clicking.)
Events prior to 17 August 2008 are described also.

  • 14 August 2032: Russia exclaims it will abandon further production in the Nerasus. Small amounts of military are sent into the area.
15 August 2032: India exclaims it's madness at Russia for halting production of oil in the Nerasus.
16 August 2032: Militants appear in the area of the Nerasus and begin an offensive against Russian forces. Russian forces win.
17 August 2032: The peak of hostilities between India and Russia. India sends 100 troops in the area.

The world remains neutral
While a conflict was brewing in the Nerasus, The world decided to remain neutral. The United States of America declared it's neutrality, but was in full support of the Russians. They stated if the Russians begin to lose the war, it would step in. France was the second to remain neutral, also on the Russians side. Following were Japan and England, both on the Russians side.

Operation Heavy Fall
The Russians began an offensive against Indian troops in the Nerasus on 19 August 2032 called 'Operation Heavy Fall.' Russians took the eastern side of the attack which proved vital if the war was to be won. They smashed through lines of defense, hitting the Indians at their most vital point.

End to the war
After Operation Heavy Fall was a success the Indians retreated to their homeland and officially apologized to the Russians. All sanctions imposed previously were reinstated.

World War I
World War I or the First World War or even the War to Begin All Wars was a global military conflict which involved the entire worlds military. It began on AD2037. Over 90 Million soldiers were mobilized during the course of the war.

Origins
Cause
The Cause of World War I is generally said to be the spying of America by Japanese spies. The spies were uncovered on September 14, 2037 by American Military Troops in Washington, New York and Chicago. The next series of fast-moving events (see below for more information) triggered the cause of World War I.

September crisis and declarations of war
The September Crisis refers to the events of September 14 - onwards, 2037. The Japanese spies found in US cities triggered an outrage against Japan from America and, with no apology or no contact from the Japanese government, America declared war on September 19, 2037. This activated two major alliances, the Japanese 'Moscow' alliance with the Russians, and the American 'Birmingham' alliance with England. England's alliance with Spain was then activated. Spain's alliance with France was then activated. France's alliance with India was activated. The 'Allies' officially declared war on Japan and Russia on September 24, 2037, and thus World War I began.

War Begins
United Nations steps back
The United Nations stayed out of the conflict as all reasons for war were sanctioned and Congress allowed the US to go to war with Japan. Since the entire nations in the UN were at war and could not agree on an end, the UN stood back.

Japan Campaign
Official military combat began on October 2nd, 2037, with the US-led Invasion of Japan at Osaka, a major and important part of the campaign. England invaded at Kyoto, another major supply point of the Japanese military. US military reached the shores of Osaka at 4:12 PM, October 2nd 2037. Immediately US forces entered the city of Osaka and heavy fighting quickly erupted. US bombers bombed the city at 5:12 PM and a major aerial campaign started over the skies of Osaka. One hour later, the US had defeated Japan at the skies of Osaka and taken major territory around the area, which was of great importance to the Japan Campaign. Meanwhile English forces were winning a major victory at Kyoto, and cruise missiles being launched at the city were destroying Japanese forces.

Russian Forces enter the war
Spanish forces started an overwhelming advance towards Russian territory, which included the recently disputed territory, the Nerasus. Russians began a full scale attempt to destroy the Spanish forces but failed incredibly, thanks to the financial support from the French and the terrain on which the fighting was taking place. Spain managed to capture the Nerasus which brought a whole other aspect into the battle, as the territory had been disputed by both Russia and India since the war in the Nerasus. Spain apologized to India but said it was vital for the battle against Russia. India accepted this. Russia began another battle, this time for the Nerasus, and won. India was already pre-occupied with battling the Japanese alongside the English and American forces, but sent major financial support.

French troops take the St. Petersburg Islands
France's Navy were to conquer parts of Russia to make way for the Allied invasion, and started with a Navy port area, the St Petersburg Islands.
Attack
The attack began with a massive aerial campaign over the St. Petersburg Islands. It lasted for a day, and then the Navy bombing campaign began and that lasted for a day as well. The attack appeared to have taken the Russians by surprise. By day two the French Armed Forces moved in and with little resistance, took over the St. Petersburg Islands.

Discussing an End
Washington Allies Conference
The Washington Allies Conference, formally known as Washington Allies Conference on the discussion of ending of World War I was a conference held by and attended by dignitaries from all countries fighting World War I on the Allies side. The meeting was attended by:
President Sam (USA)
Emperor Mohas Ghandi (India)
President Elizabeth I (England)
Mr. Louis XIV (France)
Diego (Defense Minister SPAIN, CANT REMEMBER NAME OF SPANISH PRESIDENT)
The meeting was successful, and within 5 months World War 1 was in the closing stages.

Fall of World War 1
After France had taken the St. Petersburg Islands, the most important naval base for the Russians, Russia surrendered. Spain stopped fighting soon after wards and before long England retreated, India stopped fighting and after a humiliating loss, Japan surrendered to America.

Vietkan War
The Vietkan War or the Vietkan Conflict refers to a period of conflict between Russia, the United States, France, India and Japan from 2045 - 2049.
The sides of the war were the United States, France, India, and Japan and Russia.
The war was fought when Russia made new territory in a disputed area, 'Vietkan.' The territory was disputed with France, who had previously occupied the territory and exclaimed it as one of their 'overseas territories.'
VIETKAN WAR
Date: June 3rd, 2045 - February 8th 2049
Location: Vietkan
Result:
Decisive US, France and Indian victory
Formation of the ISTO Alliance

Territorial Changes: Vietkan officially recognized as French overseas territory

Background
The Russian Federation referendum, 2044 saw the Russian Government become Socialist. This brought new policies, along with one that was passed for territorial expansion. Russia immediately invaded Vietkan provoking outrage from France. The United States feared an uprising of Communism, and immediately held a conference with France. France wanted to enter Vietkan to free it of a Communist rule, and with that, the US obliged.
France held a vote and 98.6 % voted in favor of Military Action. The US did the same and 89 % voted in favor. Russia had become aware of this and was quick to install anti-aircraft and anti-missile sites in places in Vietkan.

Military action
Preparation
Before any actual Military action was to take place, the US and France did try to hold talks with Russia. Russia said the territory was within it's bounds, and France said it was one of their overseas territories and had been for a while now. Russia replied by asking: "What are you doing with it, then? Nothing!" France replied by saying that it was a vital gold and oil site that exports to India. This was immediately brought to India's attention. India, the next day, joined forces with the US and France. India exclaimed they didn't want to lose another valuable oil site, after losing the Nerasus to Russia in 2032. Japan, also the next day, intervened on the Russians side. They exclaimed that it was rightfully Russia's territory.
Invasion
Talks with Russia ended the day that India joined the US and French forces and Japan entered the war with Russia. US, France and India met and decided to invade Vietkan. On June 3rd, 2045, A mass of French, American and Indian forces led the invasion of Vietkan. Russia and Japanese troops were already stationed in the area. Over 25 bombers flew over Vietkan and destroyed the already stationed anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems.
Britain stays neutral
The British government wanted to enter the conflict but the citizens were extremely unhappy when a group of British forces left from Newcastle. Civil disorders continued and eventually Britain announced it would not be participating in the Vietkan conflict.
Spain goes neutral
Spain remained neutral throughout the entire course of the war. They did not wish to participate in a war about a region that had no effect on them.

President Louis XIV's escalation of the war, 2047
See Also: Strategic Ham Program
President of France Louis XIV, two years into the war, was unhappy with the current position of the American, Indian and French troops in Vietkan. He sent over 5,000 more troops and demanded India do the same. India complied and sent 2,000 more troops. American troops in Vietkan had reached 67,000 by 2047.

Russia & Japan overpowered
By 2047, Russia had been overpowered by the amount of troops in the Vietkan region. Russia immediately demanded help from Japan, and Japan sent more troops, however this was not enough to stop the US, France and India from gaining massive amounts of very important territory in Vietkan.

Eventual De-escalation and fall of Vietkan
In 2048 79,000 US Troops were active in Vietkan and 34,000 French troops were active. 13,000 Indian troops were in place, also. Russia had begun to realize they would eventually lose the war. Japan had held talks with Russia and had started taking troops out. On the morning of February 8, 2049, US, Indian and French troops took Vietkan from the Russians and thus won the war.

Grenada disarmament crisis
The issue of Grenada's disarmament reached a crisis in 2052 - 2053 when U.S. President Sam B demanded an end to the production of weapons of mass destruction in Grenada after the Spanish government had lost control of Grenada. Grenada refused to give up it's WMD production saying it wanted international recognition as a sovereign entity.

On April 14th, 2053, the United States, India and France (a.k.a the ISTO alliance group) invaded Grenada. (see next article for more information)

Background
Grenada and more largely Spain had been banned by the United Nations from producing WMD's since the attack on Russia. (aka Second War in Spain.)
UN inspectors were permitted to inspect possible areas of WMD production to make sure Spain/Grenada had complied. 20 years after the ban, Grenada had been lost by the Spanish government as a result of civil war. UN inspectors were denied access into Grenada in 2052 thus beginning the Grenada disarmament crisis.

Hostilities peak
ISTO, the International Security Treaty Organization (France, India, America) held a meeting in Delhi to discuss the crisis. They overwhelmingly voted for military intervention as all political ends had been exhausted.

Military intervention in the 2053 Grenada disarmament crisis

Military intervention in the 2053 Grenada disarmament crisis refers to military action by ISTO forces in Grenada. Grenada had refused to give up it's WMD production and declared itself a sovereign state. No state recognized it as a sovereign entity that was independent of Spain.
INVASION OF GRENADA (2053)
Part of: Grenada disarmament crisis
Date: April 12, 2053
Location: Grenada
Result: ISTO victory. Spanish control of Grenada. WMD production halted.

Invasion
A confirmed report by the US, India and France says the total invasion force was 17,900. The GIA, (Grenada Independence Army) was quickly overrun and was taken by surprise. Total casualties amount to only 50 GIA, 29 GIA captured, and no ISTO forces killed/captured.

Control resumed to Spain
ISTO and the UN were quick to resume control to Spain and, therefore, all WMD's were destroyed.

2054 South Jinhgan war
The 2054 South Jinhgan War refers to an ongoing conflict involving India and Spain over South Jinhgan, a long disputed island territory between India and Spain. The rest of ISTO (US, France) has not come to military aid, because it is a territorial dispute but has sent financial aid. It has India and the separatist republic of Jinhgan on one side, and Spain on the other. Hostilities escalated to breaking point during April and May 2054. On the evening of June 9, Spain launched an attack against South Jinhgan, Spain claims they were counter-attacking Indian movements. The war was fought on land.

Background to war
India had had somewhat of a secluded confrontation with Spain. They had for a while been politically fighting over the large island of South Jinhgan. On February 7th 2054 South Jinhgan fully integrated into India. Spain was angered by this and on February 12th politically attacked India. India feared a military reaction by Spain and on May 9th moved troops into South Jinhgan. On the break of morning on June 9, Spain launched an attack against South Jinhgan.

War
Events of June 9 - June 18
Spain launched their military attack on South Jinhgan on June 9 and India launched a full retaliatory attack against Spanish forces on the island. The other two ISTO members, France and the United States, sent financial help to India and condemned Spain for attacking South Jinhgan. India meanwhile started Operation Enraged, which aimed to destroy Spanish forces by absolutely bombing them. It proved successful and after 8 days of heavy bombing, Spanish forces surrendered and signed a peace treaty.

We've Come To The End of this Thread.

I don't know if anyone actually reads the articles, plus it was getting a wee bit long. I'll probably make a second one later on.

But until then.... Adios.
