To: the US and Nippon
From: Brazil
Whether or not such things happened, the Brazilian government doesn't know. But as the "outsider" state in the American Accord, we assert that, not only did we not have a part in any arms smuggling, we also wish to maintain friendly relations with your two countries. As the pseudo-pariah nation in the American Accord, we have maintained independent, near-isolationist policies towards most of the world. Of course, with the wheels of war rolling, Brazil could be swayed to take a hand and take a side in the war, with proper motivation, of course. We wish to maintain friendly relations and reaffirm our non-involvement in this alledged weapons smuggling.
As a side note to the US, Nippon's note condemning the general South American populace is wrought with generalizations. Brazil would like to reminder that these same generalizations have wrongly put Brazil into an accused grouping of which Brazil remains relatively independent. The same stereotyping and generalization the Nipponese have adopted are the same roots that fuel the KKK causing dissent in the US. Remember, your nation and Nippon have had conflict before in the past. Economic withdrawl due to American companies boycotting Japan.
