wow this looks cool! Aerevok didn't know you were here.... Good job luddi VII

I didn't dl but it looks great, gonna try to add Boer soldier though!

Very fun scenario!!!

I loaded up the game, and discovered that I could only play at ‘Chieftain’ level. :( So I changed that in the editor to ‘Any’. So now I was able to play an Emperor level game. :)

I don’t know anything about this war, but according to your description the English and Boers are at war with the Zulu. If that’s the case, then you should make locked war.

The game also crashed for me, when I tried to look at something in the Civilopedia. So I restarted and avoided looking at anything in there.

I first declared war on the Zulu and then allied with the Boer. DAMN, there are a lot of Zulus!!!

Early on the Zulus razed the city of Lydenburg and I thought the whole orange blob in the north was going to get conquered. But for some reason, the Zulus never attacked anymore of my cities. Instead they just pillaged and pillaged and pillaged, and attacking the Boers whom they did eventually wipe out. I was completely surrounded in the north, but the Zulus never went in for the kill, they just destroyed every improvement.

In the end though, I was able to advance from the south and blast the Zulus to hell with my Cannons. :)

Also, why not make every turn 1 week long??? Maybe even add a time limit, if you want.

I thought I had set an alliance because I checked it before I released it.And I forgot to check the civilopedia.Sorry.:(The chieftain level did I also forgot to remove.Sorry for all that.

I like your scenario very much. I would be willing to play it but I only have civ.3 gold edition. I have the feeling that you can only do this sort of thing with conquests. Is that accurate? If so, is there any way that I can play any type of scenarios while I wait to get conquests? Ive seen editor screens in my game as well. Also scenarios in my game. But Im not sure if I can load other peoples scenarios to my game. Any help would be appritiated.

Cheers!

This scenario covers one of my favourite historical periods. it has a beautiful view of the area! Congratulations!
Unfortunately it crashes. Besides the problems with the civipedia, it also cannot find certain units that I click on and crashes.
WHAT VERSION OF CONQUESTS IS THIS FOR (1.00, 1.15, 1.20???)

well, this is entirely silly...
most of the morons of course played as the english...but i changed the scenario rules to make all three nations human-playable so i chose the zulu and lo and behold, the zulu have to get into war on the first turn otherwise they start losing units because their income is negative...approx. -100 per turn. i had to get to war to trim down the military and get to approx. -60. i bought all the workers from the boers and english to slow down their improvements.

anyway, the english have entirely too many cities and since one can't built anymore cities the zulus are doomed to lose. in addition, historically the english did not have that many cities (settlements) at that time!

i took the boers out in the first 4 turns but inevitably the english will have more units owing to their better government type and superior units.

if this is supposed to be a what-if, had the zulu have beat the english and the boers they'd have been able to build a more modern army as their horizons expanded. japan did not have riflemen in 1868 but a few decades later they not only had a modern army but a navy good enough to beat the russians.

the entire direction of this scenario and the use of the word "kaffir" up there somewhere unnerved me.
oh yeah i am playing at emperor level but still this could have been better.
if the zulus can survive long enough to research nationalism there is no reason they shouldnt be able to build riflemen.
