G'day Chewie and welcome to the fray.
Sentry: I sorely miss sentry. I hate having to use a whole turn to move a unit onto a transport. It also means that I usually leave my transports outside the harbour to maximise their movement next turn, and they sometimes get picked off by other civs or even worse barbarians early in the game.
Designate Defender: Annoying as hell to have a cavalry defend a town to the death when there are Pikemen there for that very reason. I thought that was what the defensive units designation was supposed to stop.
I never played CivI so I never got to see the marching armies. I think I would like to watch them a few times and then probably not or have an option "Would you like to view the Victory Parade?". Would be cool to watch after a particularly brutal battle or taking an enemy capital. I only watched the Wonder Movies a couple of times. I built the Wonders for the effects on the game not the movies.
