[The Overlord]

After repeatedly aggression against our peaceful trader and explorer the French army took the initiative and captured the native village of Fox Woods. The natives will be integrated into the French society and will soon turn from barbarians to civilized humans. The French missionaries and technology will convince the indians to give up their barbarian way of life and convert to the French crown as loyal subjects.

We again urge the Spanish king to make peace with the Dutch Stadtholder. You can no longer hold Liege. The city is isolated, and cannot be defended anymore.

I appreciate your advice however perhaps the "Shopkeepers" should count there pounds in London instead? If you want this war stopped why dont you attack the aggressors who happen to be the Dutch?

WAR

The French king Louis is very sad to do this move but he had no choice as to declare war on the United Provinces. After repeatedly aggression from the Dutch people against rightful Spanish possessions France decided to intervene and bring back law and order. An amphibious assault brought us in the possession of Bruges and the French army will continue it's march towards the Netherlands but if the wise Stadtholder will think again over his actions and return all captured cities to the Spanish owners we will stop our advance and bring peace back to Europe. This war must stop now. It is obvious the Dutch Republic doesn't have a chance against the combined armies of France and Spain as they are facing the two leading world powers.

Once again this is not an aggressive war we are just using our army to stop this Dutch attempt to overthrow the stability Spain offered and we will bring the Spanish back to the throne of the Netherlands. Should the Dutch agree to a pre-war agreement we are sure peace negotiations could be held and we can end this war with no looser. However should the Stadtholder reject, the war will go on deep into the Netherlands there will be NO second chance.

We ask the brave people and defenders of Liege to hold on a little bit, relief-forces are on it's way (three quarters of the French army ). As I said earlier, unprovoked aggression? Spain has oppressed our people for countless years, we successfully revolted against them, and now we will assist our Belgian friends in their fight against Spain. They brought this horror upon themselves, and apparently France will as well.

Anyway I totally saw this coming, why do you think there was only one unit there? You two could have tried to keep the top-secret talk off the thread:

Overlord we need to talk.

I didn't want to keep it a secret, hoping you would come to your senses. Do you want us to wipe you off the face of the earth or what?

That'll be all the more hard for you two to do when I burn Bruges to the ground in my turn. I deliberately put all my units in the fortress next to it so that he could take it and then I'd annihilate anything he would overconfidently put there.

And regardless of this tactical victory, I'm certain you two cannot wipe me out either. You know how hard European conquests are in this scenario; all you have to do is wipe out any units that near your cities and don't let them build fortresses next to your cities (which you didn't do when I was attacking you ).

Ah you know the size of the army France and Spain has at the beginning of the game in contrast to the Netherlands? And almost the whole French army is on it's way towards you. How can you expect to win?

Dont worry my wine drinking ally, we will hold Liege and then move NORTH. I have a lot of BURNING and EXECUTING to do!
