Was just browsing through Civ3 Gen and came across this:

How does a thread with no replies manage to have different users listed in the "started by" and "last post by" fields?

It is from a moderator splitting it from a different thread.

That may be one, normally reaasonable explanation, AoA, but I didn't do it, and Chieftess hasn't been on to do it (that I've seen).

I noticed the thread right after it appeared. It consisted of the title, only. No post inside. Now Unregister has responded, and his post (1st reply) appears as the initial post.

I think it may have been created as the server "hiccupped" a little while ago.
