Okay i know that i am a bit of a day dreamer, but i would love to have a version which combined SIMCITY with Civ2

Plays fairly normally, but the CAPITAL CITY has to be built Sim City style.

Have you played any of the games from Sierra's "Caesar" series? It's not exactly Civ + SimCity, but it does have elements reminiscent of both. You build up Roman cities across the Empire one at a time, and occasionally you have to war with barbarians for territory. Lots of fun.

I agree with Loaf Warden.

Ceasar is a great game and it combines civ and sim. But still Civ-alone is better

Caesar is a good example. But I got bored with it fairly quickly. I like true turn-based or true real-time. Combining the two to me reduces the fun of both.

Or you could try Sierra's "Pharoah" series. It's a lot like ceasar but just set in ancient Egypt.

A true example of different game types combined is UFO, enemy unknown. Anyone played that?

It's about aliens invading Earth and you lead a worldwide organization which has to stop them. You get funds of the countries around the world and when they're happy with your dealings, they raise funds; if they're unhappy, they lower. And they can even from an alliance with the aliens.

Anyway, one aspect of the game is the finance/budget, the another is managing your bases and another, which is really apart, is leading the missions.

B.t.w.: am I in the right forum for this?

Anyway, thx1138, dreaming is good

! I once drew a picture where I combined all the game I knew by then (about 15 or so) together.

I'm still waiting for a combination 3D shoot 'em up and adventure/roll playing game.

Perhaps Soldiers of Fortune, but I don't really know that game...

UFO was an absolute genius of a game one of my faves ever. Only problem was that it was way too easy.On the Sim City/ Civ thing I think both games are great in their own right but the two of them working together just wouldn't feel right.

UFO was good indeed. UFO2 was just a plain boring twist on the first one. Sure, if you liked the first game there was nothing wrong with the second one, but there was really nothing to differ the two. The third one brought some difference which was nice, the fourth one crashed the concept utterly and the fifth one I am still waiting for...

But I wouldn't say it's all that easy, I had enormous problems finishing the last sequence of all the three first games, the ones where you "take the fight to them" as it were...

Now, i know this is silly....

but if i could add a FLIGHT SIMULATOR into the game, so that i can ACTUALLY FLY A stealth bomber/fighter when attcking the enemy
