This mod and a few ?'s regarding teams.

First off, great mod. It's incredible what's been done here. It has reinvigorated my interest in Civ IV.

However, a couple of things are going on for me when I play this mod:

1) The AI almost never declares war. Even on the higher difficulties. Is there something in the mod prohibiting this?
2.) Seems like the good and evil traits are random at custom game start. Probably a bug that I didn't see in the notes...

These are more generic questions regarding teams but since I only play this mod now ;) :

1) I would like to play a game where there are 6 sets of three member teams each always at war. No multiplayer action just me and AI. Seems this cannot be done without going into the in-game editor. How I assume you could do it is setup the teams and use the "always war with human player" and "always war/peace" options. But this doesn't mean the other teams are at war which leads me to the next question:
2) If I have to use the in-game editor to accomplish this and manually assign war, won't it consider the AI as declaring war and give them all the negatives of being the first to declare for the remainder of the game?

Has anyone played this type of scenario? And what settings would you recommend to go along with it for this mod? I'm already considering grouping the evil/good/neutral players together as much as possible on the teams.

I haven't found this to be so. I was killed by a couple civs declaring war on me last weekend.

If you have random personalities selected, they will change. Otherwise, each leader is always the same until they adopt a religion that changes it.

Sorry, can't help you with the rest.

What version are you playing? AI are much more likely to declare war with the latest patch.

Also, the chance of a war declaration is influenced by the armageddon counter. Civs tend to start reasonably peaceful but as the counter rises huuuuge wars break out ;)

You have random personalities checked. That sets random alignments as well.

mm tricky

I have no idea how to accomplish that. All I can really say is that FFH is not really balanced for teams/always war in the first place. It cuts out a huge proportion of what the game is about.

Can't this be accomplished by starting a custom singleplayer game? Try setting up a game with 11 AI and yourself, then be sure to set up AI in 2 man teams. Then check the "always war/peace" option (I don't believe "always war with the human player" is necessary). That should do the trick. If that doesn't work in single player, you can always start a direct IP multiplayer game and just play by yourself with AIs.

I haven't tried this myself, but see if it works.

Ahh, random personalities. That’ss was it. I like a little spice but I'll turn it off and save the flavor.

I am using 21e, just got f. I've even went into the world builder and lowered all AI towards me by 20, still nothing for 150 turns. Ahh well it will come I guess.

What always war/peace does in that case is to always have peace. I can then have each AI declare war in the world builder and it will stay that way, albeit with a possible penalty to the declaring civ.

Going to rethink my next game. Need to get more AI’s to declare on me or bring it to them more often I guess.

Probably if you start a quick early war or two (as I did when playing as Mahala) the AI's will retaliate in the future due to "You declared war" and "you declared war on our friend" penalties.

the ais do consider who has attacked them
vs who it is at war with them, when considering who to invade
(if you declare war but never send units, they just get annoyed at you, and an ai like mahala make take the opportunity though the elohim would not.)
