I have created a new mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=132651997

This mod creates three new specialists: The Farmer, The Priest, and The Generalist (as opposed to a General). It updates a number of buildings to add these specialists.

The Farmer Specialist gives you +2 Food and builds toward a Great Farmer. The Priest gives you +2 Faith and builds toward a Great Prophet. The Generalist gives you 1 Food, Production, Culture, Science, Faith, and Gold, but does not contribute toward any Great Person.

This mod also creates a new great person, The Great Farmer. The Great Farmer can build farms twice as quickly as a Worker. He may also be used to build a Great Farm which gives +2 Food and +2 Production.

The following buildings have been modified or created to work with these new Specialists:
Aqueduct: Allows Farmer Specialist.
Garden: Farmer Specialist.
Medical Lab: Farmer Specialist.
Monastery: Priest.
Temple: Priest.
Burial Tomb: Priest
Mud Pyramid Mosque: Priest
Coffee House: Generalist

Megachurch: (National Wonder. Needs a Temple in each city). 2 Priest slots.
State Fair: (National Wonder. Needs a Granary in each city). 2 Farmer slots.
Community College: 2 Generalist slots.

Note: This mod includes WHoward's fix for a farm crash bug so your farms will look a little different when using this mod. You can get WHoward's mods at: http://www.picknmixmods.com/main/home/home.html

Known Bugs (Any suggestions for fixing would be appreciated)
- Not compatible with "City View Tweaks for NiGHTS"
- The State Fair and Megachurch are displayed with the wonders so you need to scroll down to see their specialist slots.

Sounds really interesting! It would be cool testing to see how that would affect gameplay.

I would like a version that can be downloaded without letting steam online. Last time I went online with steam it started updating all my games and removed 42 gigs of my own modfiles and private files from a diverse amount of places on my harddrives.. Lost weeks of programming-related work. *note to self* I need to setup a sandboxed computer for all steam-related stuff in the future. *end note*

no problem. If you do play with it and discover any bugs or balance issues, please let me know. thanks!

This is a great idea... thank you!

Does your Priest specialist actually generate faith? I found that the <SpecialistYields> table does not actually generate faith (though the specialist help text will say it does...ug!). Feel free to use the lua I developed for my Preacher Specialist mod to enable specialist faith yields.

Also, does your priest contribute towards generating a Great Prophet? I'm pretty sure that Prophets are generated from faith accumulation, not GP Points...

Compatibility Issue: It is not compatible with "City View Tweaks for NiGHTS", the standalone version for grouping the specialists and buildings in the city view screen.

Restarting my playthrough without it to test more.

FramedArchitect: The Priests do not contribute faith. I'll look at your mod. They DO contribute toward a Great Prophet built the same way most other Great People are.

xngen: I can play around with that after I fix the other issues.

As State Fair is a Wonder it doesn't add up under specialist buildings, which is a bit confusing when looking to add the Farmer Specialists. Maybe not fixable though.

One playthrough done, trying to utilize the farmer aspect of the mod with Inca. Was Fun! =)
