I need more food about the game! PLEASE!!!

It's only a month form now until release (OK, I cheated - a month +1 day - sue me! :p )!

I seldom anticipated a game as much as this one (never to be honest)!!!

Seriously, I have problems getting my hands on other games right now since I'm waiting for CiVI so much! I never checked playthroughs, now I catch myself doing google and youtube searches on a regular bases to find EVERYTHING about the game... - It's ridiculous, I'm not a fanboy (43 years old, father of a son, currently at the office :D )

Am I the only One? I surely can't be and can't you see it from the sometimes strange discussions occuring here... Firaxis give us some love, will you!?

Where is Civanon, when you need them!?

When will the final NDAs fall?
What about System specs?
The game gone gold yet?
What about late game playthroughs?

Does anyone know? :crazyeye:

P.S.: Sorry if this thread makes no sense at all, but I had to share my pain! My wife already smirks at me!

It seems like we know a lot less about 6 than we did 5 about at this same juncture in 2010. Maybe because 6 has a lot more to it at release or perhaps a different marketing approach.

Yeah, even CFC is just so much speculative drivel that I rarely visit the Civ6 forums (but will in about 3 hours to check for a new First Look)!
What the 'BLEEP' am I doing up at 3-4 in the morning?? I am supposed to be getting a good night's sleep.

To tide me over, I'm taking a plunge into trying Vox Populi. I'm 65 years young (or is that OLD?).

Totally makes sense, similar here, CIV player since CIV 2 and can't sit still until its out. REally want to build those districts :)

I feel ecxactly the same. Also for me it's the first time I watched let's plays, ever. To be honest I was excited for civ five especially for the 1upt change, but now it's a lot worse. I want to play it already =)

Wouldn't it be nice to get a teaser demo version, like they do in FIFA for example, where you can play a short game with two fix teams only....

Most of civfantics share your pain and anticipation. I look forward to the game, have high hopes but i gotta share what bothers me the most.

I feel like they actually didn't reveal anything about the game as a whole. Sure, mechanics, concepts, new stuff, everything is out there but we don't have a clue about the late game, there is absolutely no clue of what basic game of civ 6 feels like as a whole game ... where do all the fancy new mechanics actually lead and how do all the parts of game actually work together ... the last developers video they showed 3 turns of gameplay ... yea it's good to know about religion, but i'm still waiting at least one gameplay that shows what it looks like when you chase a victory condition ... how does it all turns out... if they can't show that because it's not polished, i don't see game being polished in one month.

Dude you are NOT the only one, sometimes at work these days my mind has wandered off to possible Civ 6 strategies when it has been a boring day/client.

I check civfanatics and civ reddit for new info literally each day, sometimes more than once..

Never have I waited for a game as much, before that it was the Civ 5 expansions but this looks so promising even from the start.

Haven't looked forward as much to a game since D3, I vistit Civfanatics everyday, just for something to do that has got do with Civ. Personally, i was/am in a bit of rut in gaming with marked decrease in gaming hours and interest over the last 12months.(xcom2 is pretty cool, but it is not the type of game i can play over and over) That has all changed with Civ6. I feel like a schoolboy waiting for christmas...:D

I hear you, Makenshi, but I just can't help it... And somehow I know it's gonna be an awesome game (despite the usual flaws and bugs; those will get solved by patches and mods later...)

Would be nice but Firaxis/2k never did that. And won't will. I tend to not install demo-stuff until I get the real game- would make an exception this time, though... Hell, I preordered and didn't even get my key, yet

Glad to hear that - wanted to go to bed at around 11pm yesterday, scanned the internet about ciVI until about 1am...

yep, that's exactly what I'm waiting for; besides the questions asked in the OP - The tech tree, finalization of figures (correct english term?), civics tree, espionage, late game, how to's and so forth and so on...

Good to hear (and read) that: A problem shared is a problem halved. Maybe One of you Firaxians lurking around might give us a bone to chew on? We can keep a secret!! :mischief:

Yup i need my regular fixes too. Been on the edge since the first screens were released !

I neeed moar Let's Plays of youtubers during which i can eyeroll at how bad they are :D

I've never looked forward to a game as much as this one. I'm doing the same circuit of various websites, always hoping to see some new info! :D

My own prediction is that it will be unpolished but still better than civ5 vanilla.

Yep. There are 2 or 3 exceptions, reviewers who actually know what they're doing, but I actually can't stand to watch most of the Civ 6 let's plays until the end. I catch myself trying to play the map for them, moving my cursor around and spasmodically and instinctively clicking on things, only to realize these nimwits have total control. Sigh . . . :(

So sometimes I'll scroll to where they reveal a pristine new world, turn 0--and I'll pause the video there and just plan out where I'd build my city, where the districts will go, etc. And again, sigh . . . :(

But this month will pass. Somehow. . . .

Well... sure :)

The things we've seen are already better than Civ5 vanilla. And no amount of pre-release qa could compete with real-world player testing, so surely significant polishing will come after release.

so true! Very often I feel like saying "Hey, what are you doing, why are you turning your scout around? Get the GH, explore the map for christs sake! Heal the wounded. You know there are barbs, right?" Or build-orders - Gee, c'mon! :p
