Time for a new video card?

I just bought this video card over Christmas (it's a Radeon 9600), and it's already giving me problems. When I'm in 800x600 mode (whether it's a game that uses that mode or I change it myself) it basically looks like a TV with bad cable or something. There's bars rolling across the screen, it's fuzzy, I can't think of how else to describe it. It looks fine in 1024x768 mode, none of the stuff I described above. And another thing - it worked perfectly yetsterday. What's the deal with this?

it sounds a bit like the graphics card is being forced to use either a refresh mode it doesnt like or one the moniter doesnt like. to adjust it you can go to display propities> settings> advanced> moniter> then change the refresh rate. This of course only works if you can see the screen cleary enough to change it.

It turns out to be the monitor... I just turned it off and turned it back on and now it works.
