Time for Sox fans to worry yet?

That is some heavy-duty predicting  :D . Would you please predict
the World Series victory for my Phillies next year :crazyeye: .

On topic I think Boston can hang with any team ;) .

Actually last year, I was very good with predictions (I had a soccer game during the fifth game, and I correctly predicted "3-1" as the score at the time) I also correctly predicted the outcome of all the games except game 7.

I can only do short-term predictions, so next year will have to wait.

Go Phillies! I will predict a championship victory for them next year, just as predicted one for them this year. :( oops

I hate the Red Sox and will be rooting against them with all of my rooting strength. Even if it means rooting for the Yankees, or Braves. Since the Phillies are out, my slogan is...

Anyone but Bos!

Well the Yankees clinched the East last night. :mischief: The AL West and the NL wildcard have yet to be decided. Should be an exciting weekend for
those two races :scan: . Go A's and Astros! ;)

Yankees up 2-0, are y'all worried yet :scan: . The next two games especially
should be real barnburners at Fenway. Rivera is NASTY! :hatsoff:
I was expecting A-Rod to bust the game open in the 8th but it didn't happen.

Hopefully Brown will pitch like the guy that broke his hand punching the wall. :crazyeye: Arroyo's been pitching pretty well lately too.

Oh NO! No Schilling   . Will they make it without him?

I would not pitch him if he is even slightly injured- For goodness sake the
other guys are 'major league' pitchers and deserve a chance to give 100%.
Who would have thought Leiber would pitch so well :crazyeye: , Arroyo and
Lowe might be able to do the same thing ;) - give 'em a chance!

Things don't look good for Boston right now. 13-6 already and it is the top of the 6th. They will have to pull something serious off to win this game. Or the series.

If any team can do it, it is the umm... Miracle Sox? Can't come up with a miraculous nickname.

17-6
bye sox

So the Yankees outpitched the 1-2 pitchers (1 hit combined in innings 1-6 in games 1 and 2), and now are outslugging the best hitting team in baseball. This is just a brutal dismantling of the best Sox team in a long time. Nothing beats so many years of post season excellence, and the confidence that comes from it. The Yankees are making the Sox look like a bunch of silly kids. The "hair team" doesn't look nearly as "cool" when they are being humiliated like this. If it weren't the Sox, I'd feel bad for them.:) But it is, and I don't.

I figured it was over when the odds-makers set the Sox as favorites. That just seemed like a very bad idea, especially for any "curse" believers. It seemed a little like Pedro's "Wake up the damn Bambino and have me face him. Maybe I'll drill him in the ass" quote last year - just a very bad thing if you're a Sox fan.

At least you have the Pats to make your winter pass!

I think it is now officially time for Sox fans to stop worrying.

It was fun while it lasted.

No matter what the result is, I'll be really really tired due to these two games taking forever!

The 11th inning was a close call though.

EDIT: Woohoo! We live to play another 14 or more hours! [dance]
