This is a major question for map, tech, and unit development. Bronze is the combination of copper and tin, and vanilla Civ4 doesn't model tin. There would be tin on the map (in Cornwall and Persia). My cursory research (Wikipedia) indicates that it was traded as far back as 2500BC, but right now, it wouldn't be in the mod. Likewise, bronze is actually better than early iron in terms of strength, but it was a disruption in the tin distribution that allowed iron to gain the upper hand.

Should we model tin? If so, how are we going to model it so that bronze working exists in a roughly historical fashion?
