When using the DVD to install, Autoplay kicks in. Seconds after selecting "install", the menu disappears and I get the following message:
The numbers after set changes on each install attempt to a random combo of letters and numbers. I have tried running the setup manually from the disc instead of autoplay but get the same result
I've emptied all the temp folders, uninstalled Zonealarm, turned off anti-virus software, sorted the registry, run disc cleanup and defragged, everything else I play works like a dream. I meet all the minimum specs (a few of the recommended ones too.)
