Mr Blair, who is said to be a big fan of the show, recorded his dialogue in April for an episode in which Homer Simpson meets him in London.

Actor Sir Ian McKellen and Harry Potter author JK Rowling appear alongside in the show, called The Regina Monologues.

British viewers will get their first chance to see the show when it airs on Sky One at the beginning of January.

The episode reportedly sees Homer crash a Mini Cooper through the gates of Buckingham Palace.

Mr Blair joins a long line of well-known faces who have made guest appearances in The Simpsons, which is shown by Fox in the US.

Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Mel Brooks and scientist Stephen Hawking have all appeared on the programme.

I can't wait to see this episode. :) But recently (around the past 5 years), the Simpson's plots have become rather weird and inane.

SIMPSONS FOREVER!
I desperately wanna see this one!:D

The Simpsons have been a little out their to the point of unfunniness, but the one where Homer gets medicinal hash is great. That part where he is shaving stoned and the water comes out of the faucet rainbow-colored. Then while he is shaving a liquid pours out from several spots on his face, rainbow-colored. That was one of the funniest things that I've seen on there in a few seasons.

This is going to be really funny! :goodjob: The Simpsons is my favorite show of all time! Always good, although there have been some pitfalls *cough*"Strongs Arms of the Ma"*cough*, but otherwise stellar. :D

The Simpsons have had some really bad episodes the last few seasons however I think they may be turning around. I read an article by a critic the other day about how the creaters are finally turning away from the slap stick homer comedy and perhaps embracing a more subtle humor.

The last episode about Lisa becoming class president was really good I thought.

It'll be interesting to see Homer come face to face with someone of equal intellectual capacity. :p

Can't believe Blair agreed to it. People should give him a bit of credit- it is good that he's able to laugh at himself.

It would be most accurate if you see a couple of really cool guys

EDIT: Perhaps should have made it more clear that I was referring to being a puppet. Or a little less clear, depending on how you look at it.

Tony Blair on the Simpsons  I have got to see that one.

SLAAM- So Long Arts Athletics and Music:lol:
I have to admit the episodes have been getting better.

Some of the episodes have been OK, some have been quite good. My favorite of the past few seasons was the medicinal hash one, but the weirdest one of the season was the one with the island and all the druggings.

EDIT: BTW, wow all those great celebrities at once, I can't miss this one.

I think you misunderstood, the artilce was just listing past celeberity appearances.

No, Tony Blair, Ian McKellen, and JK Rowling are all on that episode. That to me is great celebrities.

Sorry naervod, I thought you were citing the bit about Elton John . Paul McCartney etc.

Yep, I read about that some time ago. Looking forward to that one!

Must be fun to be around the guy....

That episode is Sunday.

Some people have said that the Simpsons fell because after one of the writers or directors or somebody left, Homer became less of a human (albeit dumb and still funny) to more of a gag to try to reign in the younger audience that only think of Homer as "D'oh!" and "Mmm....industrial goo...."

If you notice, there's been less Homer in these new episodes. Perhaps the return of that guy is trying to bring Homer back to classical style.

At least we know Blair has a sense of humour.

He certainly does, you should see what a joke he has made of Democracy in this country. As for his performance on being PM, it's been a riot.

The Simpsons is one of the best shows ever. It is also becoming bad, fast.
