Not that many people ahve Tot, and I've played it a few times before(I don't have it) and it doesn't have good vibes.
TOT is a waste of money!

I have played only 2 civs - the original which is really good and TOT which is even better. It took me about an hour to get into it(TOT) and I was playing seven or eight hours non-stop before I knew it. I don't know about you, but if this isn't an addictive game then I don't know what is. You also get several different games whcich all work extremely well. To be honest I have only been playing for a couple of weeks and I only have the original to compare it with but I think this is really good. Mind you, anything makes the Original look poor. I didn't really like the fantasy scenario but I really enjoyed the SCIFI scenario. I also found the Extended Game quite enjoyable but I couldn't colonise the new planet, which annoyed me a bit. It told me the spacecraft had arrived and then - nothing. The SCIFI worked just fine and so did the Fantasy one.
Can someone please list the differnces between the various games?

I am working on a list to add to my site, hopefully I'll get off my butt soon and finish it up
Anyway, having all PC versions of Civ, I like FW for single player and MGE for multi. There is nothing exactly wrong w/ ToT, it just doesn't feel right....

It is best to have both tot and gold civ2. they each have their advantages.

Exactly Cedric. It feels funny
You spend all the time playing civ2 or civ2gold and eventually memorize what every wonder, and every improvement does. And then they just go and change them, just the names. It feels like a scenario. I don't like the thought of being paying for a scenario. There is nothing truly new (except for the fact that many units are only allowed to one civ or one group of civs, more scenario feel) all there is is one all new improvement a bunch of different units, and multi map playing. The only thing that ToT offers that scenario's can't is multiple worlds, and a single all new improvement. After buying Civ2gold I see no reason to go out and spend money for those two things.
I put it in the warchest to buy Civ3
