As much as i want to be part of the group i can't commit at this time.... life is busy and unfortunately 1 SG is all i can bare at the moment.
no worries there.
its a relatively slow mover.
lots of threads in our forum, but you can participate a much as you want.
we have some players that are ultra active and some "strong, silent" types.

really... you can....

It's not like an SG where you have to play turns. You can help alot without ever turning the game on. The diplomacy side of it, and talking with the other teams, for example.

just had a gig thrust upon me for tomorrow night.
its a dub-raggae, afrobeat, latin soul thingee.

havent played that stuff for a few months now, so i need to do some home work.

i need a skip here, as im out of civving till tuesday.

Not much to report. We're basically just waiting for the research to come in at this stage. Our neighbors seem to have learned their lesson, as I didn't hear a peep out of them. I'm sure some of our cities are managed suboptimally, but it didn't seem worth the effort of trying to MM them better.

I couldn't figure out anything useful to do with the SGL IP left me (rushing a spaceship part seemed like a waste), so I just left him. And, of course, we got another one with Satellites. So we now have two SGL's sitting around.

Note: We're about 17 tiles from the domination limit. I looked at all the cities that have expansions due soon, and I don't think we're going to trip a domination victory. But be careful. And building the Internet (when we get there) would probably be a very bad idea.

Roster check:

Tubby Rower - on deck
dman
IP
SW - skipped
Minute Man - just played
Bede - up!

Got it. NO INTERNET.

Reach for the Iron swapped its cathedral in 1505

Bede built the Exterior Casing in Aydin in 1510

Reach for the Iron is the location for the Party Lounge @52spt. Start a 200 shield project when you start research on the Laser.

The Book Bindery is the spot for the Stasis Chamber @62spt, start The Internet there when the research on Robotics begins.

The borders of Carthage expanded in 1515 and Hannibal paid a call to boot our troops on the eastern border, so I took the opportunity to trade Atomic Theory for Wines, a map, 3 gold coins and 6 coins per turn.

In 1545 Gandhi came looking for an Mpp so I sold him Tanks for 59gpt instead.

Built a town on the ivory so we are within 10 tiles of the limit. Zabalam is the only town that represents a concern but I don't think sea tiles count.

Set the specialists to taxmen and scientists for 4 and 5 turn research. I don't think four turn is feasible for The Laser and Robotics but have fun trying. I think everybody is a taxman now as I added natives and a couple of Turks into the high science towns which really boosted non specialist beaker count.

well I wonder if the 4 -turn reseach is possible. Probably won't get to it tonight. though. if some one else can take it before I "got it" then get it

I managed to get two sets of 4 turn research and finished on 1595AD. We managed to build Battle field Medicine on the last IT. Also there was an opportunity on turn 5 to hold UN elections, but I declined ;). Here is the 1590AD save if any wants to see the victory itself

Great job guys. I can't believe this come back!!

And now for your viewing pleasure

yeah we made it!!! :king:
But please next time we play space race don't set level anywhere below diety....
that will at least give us the impression that AIs can compete. :mischief:

:woohoo:

Not bad, considering how close we came to being wiped out by the Ottomans in the early going. :)

Outcome was never in doubt. Even with the early hit by Osman, which he paid for dearly.

Nice finish, TR, and fitting too.

It was with me. I had 6 starts for TR06 already rolled.

I think that this is the first game out of the 5 that I actually finished.

The next TR series will probably be in Civ4. I'll be gone to 3-mile island (near Hershey, PA) from Oct. 24 - Nov 15. I might buy it while I am up there. It sucks that I have to leave on the day it's released though. I might get A-K to order me one and I can pay him for it once I get up there to visit him.

Great job everyone! I'm with Tubby, after Osman sneak-attacked us in the first 20 turns, I wasn't sure about the ending, but I'm glad we didn't give up. :)
