Trade Route error?

I seem to have encountered some sort of error regarding trade routes?

I had forregin trade routes with Sury in this game (we are on two separate landmasses, but can reach each other with sailing).
He DoWs me, and ofcourse we lose trade routes.

Then, we make peace, (save attached, just give him Alfabet and the city "Clam".)
This turn he won't open borders as I'm his worst enemy.
But next turn, I can open borders, but when I do, I don't get trade routes!
It's just as if I was in mercantalism, but neither me nor Sury are.
Can trade resoures without any problem.

What can be the problem?

I tried to give myself banking and christo rendator via worldbuilder too, swapped in and out of mercantalism, trying to open borders and close borders at different intervalls from peace. Nothing seems to work.

And it seems like it could be related... I gifted a city to Sury earlier (Happy Sury, visible on screenshot). During the war he took a city from me and then I took a city from him, then I gave the city back in peace treaty.

I tested, giving him Clam or not for peace does not change things.
It's your island city, 2 routes are the same as Sury routes would give after making peace.
I guess it's cos you have only 3% sustained peace bonus now.
So overall the routes stay with Island city since Sury's would be no improvement currently (actually good for you cos he gets less ).
(If i delete island, you get Sury routes instantly)

Oh, that sounds reasonable! Thank you so much for figuring that out.
I was losing hope quickly, extremly annoying to expend alot of energy into a game and then think that you get it pulled away from you because of a random bug.

Oh, the same happened to me, now I understand!

it looks really weird in an interface, instead of getting 0 TR the interface was showing - for the guy I DoW but then open borders with again
