Tradingposts - ReDesigned ! V1

As we all think the tradingposts are really ugly and kind of immersion breaking, I started this first attempt to change them.


This are 2 modular, totally combineable mods, you can use only 1 of them or both together, just as you like.


Tradingposts - ReColored V1

All the tradingposts got recolored, nomore funky bright colors, everything seems more fitting to the rest of the game.

Tradingposts - No Tents V1

This Mod replaces all the ugly tradingposts "tents" with stone buildings.
In fact they only replace the medieval art style with the modern art style for trading posts.


This mods are only available here, because currently it's not possible to do such mods with Civ V's modding tools.

The only downside is you have to manually install them, but it's really easy (just 1 time copy&paste), you also don't have to backup anything, backup files are included!

This is great
Though maybe they are a bit "too" gray? Looks perfect next to european / american civs, but next to the red-roofed greeks and sandstone african they look a bit off.
Lets hope that one day they can be different depending on the civ, like the hamlets in civ4 (bugmod)
I cant wait for the next version!

Thank you, it'll be nice to finally have TP's that blend in with the terrain.

After playing with this for a while, I agree perhaps a slight tweak to the colors might make them fit the terrain even better. The buildings on Lumbermill or Academy tiles look very nice with a light brown hue, and TP's might blend better with the same coloration. It would also give all the various buildings for tile improvements some eye-pleasing consistency. Currently, about half the buildings on the TP tiles are good, but the other half are nearly black, and stand out a little:

Yep, this is something that's definitly in the next update.

Yep, because they are usually packed in the .fpk files. Doesn't matter for install/deinstalling the mod tough.
