Transporting settlers across water?

Hello, this thread has been very helpful.

I'd like to know how I can transport my units to other islands and create settlements. I've created a harbor and built galleys, but they don't seem to be able to transport people.

It's easy. You can do it in two ways:

Method 1) When the galley/boat is at the coast, you can simply move units to the square the boat is in directly. Galley can carry two units.

Method 2) If the boat is inside a city, you can load units in the city onto the boat by first activating the unit you want to transport, then hit the "L" key.

Remember not to have the Galley end it's turn in the middle of the Ocean! Nothing more depressing than finally building a settler, a spearman and a galley and have it sink in the sea
