That's not a Falx! More like a falcata.

Are they riding zebras ? They look good, but remember that making units is not as easy as posting previews (and I know what I'm talking about ). BTW you're a big boy now, you can start making your own stuff and stop refering to Sandris all the time, which must be quite embarrasing for him...

I do know that everythings, but not however free of charge!

I need this celtic chariot and the others also - can you help me ? I will produce more exactly 2 variants of brittish chariots (noble and tribes variant) Also an scythian Sickle Typ in 3-4 variants for seleucidian, persian, galatian and bosphoranian nation. Also an Box Typ and an Rail Typ for the Mycenians.

Take a look:

I think BEBRO use also this typs, but his drivers/warriors are not in the same high quality like Sandris and are also not historical.

Take a look at the best reconstraction Today in forms in colous:

This is only an preview in tribut to Sandris. I will produce first some warelephants for civIII.

What do you mean ? You won't finish them ? Is it just a picture posted as a tribute or is the coming unit the real tribute ?

Bernd had been making units a long time before you showed up here, and he managed to create units most others weren't able to do for a long time after he disappeared. His units stood the test of time, and besides, he is a Historian as well.

Show some respect please.

Hallo Arier de Borg
I respect Bebro for his work, but they are not historical.

1. Celtic chariot - The horses of the celts and also the british are some smaler and also not in black colour. The bridle is not on the last stand. Thats all the doctrine of the 80s. What do you learn on your university - yes - many things changing every year. Also the shield its an british ceremonial shield, not used in battle. And the most important thing is: Not the fighting warrior is the noble men on celtic chariots, it is the driver !

2. The Mycenian chariot show me an to big Boxchariot, first with cow skin covers correctly, but the drivers are archaic warriors with corinthian helmet, not suitably for 1300BC. The bridle here is also wrong.

3. The assyrian chariot have an wrong axle position and the material is also wrong. Also not 2 men, seperate 3-4 men included !

Etc..
Do you wish my scientific paper for your self-instruction or a very big list for literature ,that I make for the university of Munich ?

We need hobby historians, they are very important.
In addition I was one of the first in this forum - with other names and I also play Civilization since 1991.

BeBro's Mycenean Chariot could use updating, but the Celtic & Assyrian ones are serviceable.
V. Macedonians in fight with getic nobles - a part of the Odrysian Mercenaries and Light Hoplites of Maroneia

Are you modding Slitherine's Legion or Chariots of War or something?

I respect Bebro for his work, but they are not historical.
As my good friend El Justo has stated many times: "Historical accuracy must sometimes be sacrificed for the sake of playability."

You should show Ares more respect. He's a well known and respected member of this community. To bash him wouldn't be too wise, for any reason. It could cause you to become rather alienated.

Many of us here have multiple academic degrees, across several disciplines. We can all engage in a prolonged discourse about authenticity. The point that would carry the day is a finished and uploaded unit. ;)

This thread deserves burial as it accomplishes nothing but raising blood pressure.

Hey Michael,

I'm not just a hobby historian as you know. And I'm not attacking you because I would think you had no clue of what you do. It was just the way you said it. I use to become angry when people bash older units without regarding the standards they set back in their days.
