Jupp jupp? Oh right you're German :p In English its just "Yup". I guess its like how Spanish speakers spell ha ha as ja ja :)

I miss Spanish class sometimes.

I'll DL eventually. I have other things to do in the meantime, but this looks good. For people who played this yet, can you tell me what the new Superpowers are? All I can find online about new superpowers is that China is a new one.

I like the Tropico series. :)

I'll have to check this one out.

yupyup, like yesyes or soo
I know Yup is Yepp or yeppyepp

sure you can say yupyup, it means like okidoki

and Im Korean not german, just living in germany
but I would say Im both german and korean or german with korean origin

and english originated white friends say sometimes yupyup tooo
my parents are pure korean

Played it, finished the campaign mission.
It was fun, but somehow it feels more like a very good tropico 3 expansion than like a standalone game. I like that there aren't anymore just the USSR and the USA, but it' really weird to trade with China and the EU in 1955 :crazyeye:

So, the new Superpowers are just the EU and China? No Brazil, India, or (a stretch) Japan? A little... underwhelming.

Also, I prefer that over the alternative "Oh hey El Presidente, this is the USSR. Thanks for the good times we have for the past 50 years. But now its Dec of '91, so everything you've done for us is now nought, and the other superpowers hate you. Have fun!". That, combined with the other superpowers coming later, means the US is the only viable choice of them all. Not that I don't always pick the US over the USSR in 3, but still.

This looked exactly like the third one from the screenshots.

I'll try it anyway though.

It's the EU, China and the Middle East, and from what I've gathered only the USA or the USSR can invade you, the others just gives you some perks if you're on good terms.
I had expected it starts with only the USSR and the USA and in the late nineties the USSR get'S replaced by the three others but it starts with all five powers and it makes more sense this way from a gameplay perspective.
It can also be problematic that to keep them all happy. The Middle East apparently doesn't like it one bit when you start to export oil yourself and at one point there was a message that the Chinese had executed a journalist. You the choice to formally protest against it and piss off the Chinese or to remain silent and piss off the EU.

I would love it if Middle East was renamed OPEC, with an option to join the agreement if you produce enough oil. Makes relations with OPEC skyrocket, but relationships with the others will hit rock bottom. Perhaps a mod.

Why cant you zoom out properly, like in the first game? Made me lose interest as once. Was number 3 like that too?

Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and zoom out.

Took 3 screenshots yesterday:

It is pretty much the same game. All they did add was new buildings, an import and export feature. The graphic is a little better as it seem to be more colorful and brighter. There is no Juanito, just some boringass announcer. They better add more Caribbean music, and if they don't, then I am going to mute the music.

Did manage to stick around to see a tornado. Took out 3 houses and a mine. :) Decent animation.

This is pretty much an improved version of Tropico 3. They added some interesting things like assignments, ministers and imports, but that's not enough to call this Tropico 4.

They'd be better off making this an expansion pack and price it accordingly.

I can agree with that.

From what I have read on their forums, the full game will have more music and better graphics (if you run on ultra). After all, it is a demo released before the game itself is released.
