Trouble running old PC games

Didn't know weather to put this in the Computer section or what, so....

I have a copy of Advanced Civilization, a PC game based on the original board game.

Problem is, I just got a new PC and the game wont run on it. Is there a way to fix it so newer computers will run older games? Thanks in advance.
