Hello.

Please help me troubleshoot my problems. I am attempting to produce a new civilization as a simple mod to get a feel for the new modding system.

The civilization does not show up in the basic list available upon clicking "SET UP GAME". It is, however, available for selection through Advanced Setup.

All this is a moot point, because upon hitting "Start Game", Civ suffers an immediate CTD before the Dawn Of Man screen shows, unceremoniously dumping me to the desktop with no warning or error message that can help me determine my error. The logs in the Documents/My Games/Civ V folder are not helpful.

What I am asking for are suggestions or ideas for things to investigate. I have followed the instructions as far as using UpdateDatabase, and I have tried clearing the cache.

Has anyone else had either of these experiences during testing? Referring to the civilization showing up in the Advanced Setup but not the basic setup, and CTD upon clicking Start Game. If so, what was the cause of it?

I've been working at this all afternoon, and I cannot yet determine where the problem is.
