True barbarian behaviour

I was playing as Maya and tracked down a barb camp with my JT. The barbs attacked of course (I think it was 7 or 8) of them. My JT enslaved two of them before he was killed. And now the great They killed the enslaved workers too. Isn't it strange that they killed their former Brothers in Arms?

If you were a barbarian and one of your brothers in arms not only allowed himself to be defeated in battle, but also allowed himself to be enslaved, I imagine you'd have little pity for him as well.
