I haven't really played on the TSL maps until now; I think I tried the TSL Earth when Civ VI first came out, and found the geography of Europe too tiny to play on. But I just recently played a TSL Europe game as Rome, and it was pretty fun. So I tried to play Mongols on the TSL East Asia map.

Except there are no bloody Horses on the Eurasian steppes. I've explored almost all of the mainland, and only found three Horses on the entire map; one in the northwest corner behind Tomyris' start, one in the extreme northeast of China on Bohai Bay, and one in northern India on the Ganges. None of which do the Mongols any good.

The resources appear to be fixed on this map, so how are you supposed to play Genghis on this map? Am I missing something?

Sounds like classic Fxs oversight.

Work fast and don't pay atention to what you do! Now run little engineer!

I've really struggled with the resources in the non-modded starting spots for many civs in TSL maps.

TSL East Asia is borrowed from the religion-focused scenario that introduced the Khmer and Indonesia, which might explain the lack of attention to strategic resources. Overall, all the TSL maps could do with a good reworking in light of the gameplay changes since GS. They incorporated a few dynamic elements into the Earth map, but I have still never seen a flood on TSL Earth, which I play quite a lot. As far as I can see, not one of the rivers will allow you to place a dam. There are a few volcanoes, that seem to work fine, and the new forest fires mechanism works well enough to play merry hell with the Amazon, but it would be really great if all these maps got a proper once over to allow the new(ish) features to shine.
