trying to understand

I have just got Civ 4 with BTS & warlords. When I go to play either of them I get same ERROR

civ logo: fatal error
failed intializing PYTHON

I obviously have no clue what this means and would appreciate some help.

Ontopic: I've sadly no idea from where this bug is comming from, but it can often be resolved by reinstalling Civ4.
Use the free trial of this programms professional edition to get rid of everything related to Civ4 after uninstalling it, and reinstall only afterwards.
