The Friends of the creators of models!
Ask you to!
I have a model TU-160, a remarkable Soviet bombers, but the texture of which is imposed on it, looks bad.

I would like to ask someone to see this string model, and try to make the texture more correct.
Or does suggest how I myself was able to correct this texture.
I hope to help! (I did not find the topic and author models created for this new topic)

Model - TU-160

I've seen worse textures, but I am also using this unit in my mod and I think that the cockpit/windshield whatever you want to call it does look pretty awful.

Lovely, really need the Tu-160.

I'm working on a mod where you 'discover' whole blocks of units, for which the lucky recipient has the required technical expertise (a bonus resource). Thus the 'Uncle Sam Industries' holder gets access to loads of jets whilst the holder of the 'Oblomov Research' bonuses gets a MIG-25, a duck, and a steaming samovar, so this is greatly appreciated.

The problem I have is limiting the number of extra, tradeable bonuses. With a limited knowledge of coding, it's difficult to both allow a whole civ's cities to build the whole range and require more than two resources . . . so far it's done with special buildings, but I'm not too keen on this - if you declare war on the 'Grenouille Technologie' supplier, you can still pump out Mirage 2000's and Tiger 2 helis, rather than suddenly have to cut a deal with 'Narsi Gmbh'.

I will look at the texture and, with my artistic consultants, Messrs Bodgit & C, do some colouring in for your approval.

Unfortunately I did not understand half of what you said.
Google translator, I issued a delusion. Write please again only the essence of his message.

(I have only English at a technical level)

The problem with this unit is not so much the actual texture (dds file), its the UV map/coordinates is messed up. The texture looks like it was taken from a picture of the actual plane, but parts of the mesh are assigned to completely wrong parts of the picture. Like it was never assigned right in the first place.

I dont know if you can fix it in nifskope as I dont think there is a way to rotate the UV, and when I try to fix it in Max it crashes. So I think someone that knows how to use blender might be able to fix it. Should be simple, just tedious, becuse the mesh is actually in like 15 pieces.
