Another New City Built By GWT

The new city of {see picture} was added between GWT-controlled Cervoise and that nation's projected next CGN target, Waterloo. The significance of this new city is yet another canal opportunity, as well as a nearby safehouse for attacking troops. Time will tell if this move will cause further trouble for Netatolia. It sure doesn't look good...... :(

We also got a strange correspondence from GCA. They want to give us their map! However, since they didn't send it accepted, I figured I would get the deal moving.

And speaking of GCA, word from Octavian X in the last thread is that the GCA spear still fouls our unincorporated land. How this got past Poly until now is beyond me. Or did it?

I moved our Elite sword west to check it out, and this is what I found.

Now since we have Poly on the brain, here is an interesting tidbit for the doubters of our long-standing alliance with Apolyton.

I had gotten out of the habit of checking for Wonders and actually hadn't done so for quite some time. When I checked it today, I found this 70 year old "secret."

What makes this more compelling is that Poly pretty much has only two ciities with walls --- its two canal cities.

I will be meeting with Apolyton sometime this week to question the significance of this wall, and to quiz them of their knowledge of the GCA spear. As it turns out, we will be able to rush the Courthouse on our own next turn, so we won't need our ally's help for this endeavor. Doing so will leave us nearly 0 in the treasury but it will be recouped quickly.

Besides the above, I know that Trip and company would like to discuss the CGN dilemma, and I would like to solidify our Navigation tech treaty once and for all. Lots to discuss with our ally; I will get to work on my presentations. :)

Other things going on this turn:

Gave Yun Qiuling another mined hill so that it can complete a Granary in 4 turns. This will allow us to pursue our SE worker/settler push 4 turns quicker. All this transfer cost us is one turn more for the Market in Size 3 Ju Yaosai.

Added a Worker to Jiang Mapi, increasing its size to 6. In three turns, it will grow to Size 7 on its own and I may join one more worker to the city, but I doubt it.

Like it or not, Kuangbaiao Haian will build a Settler next turn. I am planning on sending this Settler 4 tiles directly SE of Xin Yun Feng, as I believe this site will help spur growth in the new FP region. I would like half of our new Settlers/Workers to come from the new cities with most demands from our established cities coming from Yun Qiuling and Kuangbaiao Haian.

Finally, workers are mining Cha Ching for decent production. Right now they are mining the roaded grassland and the NW hill. After this, there is one more hill to mine and Cha Ching should be a 10+ spt city.

I hope that the CGN city of Waterloo lives up to it's name. ;)

That spearman is going to be a problem. Is APO still at war with GCA so can they attack it?

No they are not, EN. However, we have an Elite Sword standing by, and I am considering a plea to the GL gods............

Knowing Lucky's Luck however, it may not be the best idea...... :mischief:

Xiang Zhou, Could we allow the city to grow some more before maximizing production? A quick worker out of it could be good, too.

Put the Sword to good use.

ZZZZzzzz......

Huh, what. The game is moving. Finaly :D
