Turn 195 - 790AD - We've been spotted?

They might just have found a solution at the UN, the admins are gonna try using grampho's Civ 3 tool to set the corrupted flags to good again.

This game might survive!

But we have lost way too much citizens.

I like to read about the good old days when we had something around 18 people. Now we only have about 6. Maybe we need to change this game to allow for more activity, since the save takes so long to get anywhere.

IMHO, the game really died a while ago for this team. I remember being dedicated to Foriegn Affairs, but now it is a joke, just like this game that many put so mush effort into. I felt as if I wasted my time and still do.

I agree. With the GCA thing this got ridiculous. And GCA and GWT are acting annoyingly.

Should we withdraw from the game and only play the C3C one?

I'd like to announce next elections I'm running for court justice ;) Will I be able to get a majority with only 2 votes cast?

I blame the lack of participation on the elected officials.

It is there job to keep the citizens intrested by thinking up strategies and plans and creating discussion.

Thats what 40J, donsig and I did and participation was great.

I have not seen any Strategies or long term plans come out of this nation for thousands of years. All you do is let Apolyton tell you what to do. But hell, you brought it upon yourselves. I saw way back when that this team was coming to a fork in the road, and I seemed to be the only one who actually wanted to play for ourselves and not get pushed around... the team went the other way, and this is where it lead you.

I think a large part of the problem came from the honest fact we were not good players in the beggining (and still, by not settling the north), and thus everyone migrated to the much more fun and promising c3c game.

They left before the C3C one started. They left to the evil SPDG :p

But really, we do have some major problem to sort out. I think that since they game is going so slow, people lose interest. Therefore I think we should elect people in smaller intervals, maybe 10 turns?

sounds good.

lurker's comment: Well, Apolyton *DOES* have much better strategists than we do... From the start, we played as though it were a vanilla Civ3 demogame (SP). Like I've been trying to say, MP is a different animal. And yes, it seems that most PBEM games tend to have a problem at this point. I remember during one of the PTW or C3C betas about some at Apolyton having a similar problem in their intra-site demogame.

Maybe GCA should leave, and give all cities back to whichever team has 1 city left, and have a permenant 40-turn cease fire so that the 1-city team can get back to normal.[/delurk]

Yes, along with GWT, APO, and CGN.:p Really, GCA makes this game dynamic, without them, we problaly would have fought APO, and lost.
Say what?! GCA are just a bunch of idiotic people who loves to cheat and bash users that they dont see fit in there little clique.

Though the bashing part is from a personal experiance.

They are annoying. Just go read any of the chatlogs we have from them. Or some messages from the UN where they discuss with CGN. :ack:
