Turn 72 - 1225 B.C.

What can I say? We are in with a chance.

Specific instructions:
whip a spearman in cha ching, or even better, walls.

Here are combat calculator odds (from this page), as a percentage likelyhood of victory:
Vs Elite Swordsman
Fortified, Veteran spearman in walled town on hill: 59.5%
Fortified, Regular spearman in walled town on hill: 42%
Fortified, Veteran warrior in walled town on hill: 22%
Fortified, Regular warrior in walled town on hill: 12%

Vs Vet Swordsman
Fortified, Veteran spearman in walled town on hill: 71%
Fortified, Regular spearman in walled town on hill: 54%
Fortified, Veteran warrior in walled town on hill: 24.7%
Fortified, Regular warrior in walled town on hill: 22.1%

Vs Reg Swordsman
Fortified, Veteran spearman in walled town on hill: 82%
Fortified, Regular spearman in walled town on hill: 68%
Fortified, Veteran warrior in walled town on hill: 51.5%
Fortified, Regular warrior in walled town on hill: 36%

A spearman's defence will be 4.5 and a warrior's will be 2.25, giving us a big advantage. I like those odds.

I sincerly doubt they will head for Cha Ching.

I think this was a preemtive strike and they were only willing to deprive is from the iron. Sadly this wasn't a good tactical move for them as they will be remembered as the aggressive backstabbing *****es for the rest of the game.

Very true.
